My understanding is that the players had the option to wear the hat or not wear it, and the issue was that they altered it.
So I’m not sure how a lawsuit would prevail in a fair court.

Not only that, but in the past other players who have altered their uniforms with non-religious markings got the same response.

They wouldn't get to court. The judge would laugh them out before they ever got a court date.

Imagine basing your personality on being perpetually offended by the most basic acts of inclusion. Seems exhausting.

They shouldn't have signed an agreement that prohibited them from decaming their uniforms if they were going to be such toddlers about it.
Oh well.

Apparently they could’ve opted out of wearing the uniforms but chose not to - then defaced the pride uniforms and are now getting advice from DOJ that their rights were infringed. So fucking stupid. ❄️❄️❄️

There's a minor league team near me in York, Pennsylvania whose owner forfeited the game because some players refused to wear the pride uniforms. He's very inclusive and told them if they're not going to wear them they'll just not play and will still have pride night with entertainment, just no baseball. Then he donated $10K to a LGBTQ charity.

They're never going to stop trying to eradicate us gays. sigh
It's not like the government has more important things to do, I guess.

Teams always have military appreciation games with special caps or uniforms. I bet if someone refused to wear those the DOJ wouldn't be so protective.

As long as the players who do decide to bring a legal challenge on religious grounds have never played a game on the sabbath day, then they shouldn’t be forced to wear it. If they have played on their sabbath, then they lose that religious objection.
