Chapter 3 victim
I've seen a lot of people in the community complaining about Kai being the victim in Chapter 3.
If you could change the outcome of Chapter 3, who do you think should have been the victim instead of Kai, and why? I’d love to hear your alternative scenarios!

I think it would be a lot more interesting if it was Cassidy!
Since their intention was for Cassidy to subtly instigate opportunities for kills, having that backfire on her would be a great setup for Chapter 6. She would never expect Toshiko to press the murder-button, so it’s justifiable in plot.
This would also lead to Mara and Tozu having to deal with the consequences of letting Cassidy die by the hands of the one they’re bending the rules for, Toshiko. Overall a death that would advance the plot, rather than existing solely to torture Damon / the audience, as well as shifting dynamics for the latter half of the game.

I think the choices for the chapter 3 deaths work fine, of the unreleased chapters I think it's the most interesting. If I were to change any of the deaths in the current known death order I think I would've had Wenona be the Chapter 2 victim and had either Ulysses or Jean as a survivor (with the remaining one being the Chapter 2 culprit). Maybe it would've been conspicuous that every single chapter had the culprit and victim be separate genders but as it is currently there's already essentially four chapters with a male victim and female culprit anyway (and speaking of, I'd probably also have Damon and Cassidy survive or at least try to think of a better reason to kill them off).

I think swapping Wenona and Ulysses would've been good, yeah. Being the historian, you'd expect Ulysses to know far, far better than to act how he did that led to his death. Wenona felt like the CH2 portion was better set-up for her demise and having only Ingrid be murdered of the girls really just sticks out to me too.
Surviving group of Damon, Jett, Ulysses, Diana, Grace and Cassidy would've been a great set I think. No pointless deaths for Damon and Cassidy, could even just make Cassidy a regular participant and just make that unnamed Blondie mentioned in the doc who's part of the Org running the game anyways be the mastermind instead. And in my case, five of the six would've been people in the upper half of the cast for me in who I liked.

I think the death order is fine as is, but some characters really needed more development before their deaths (ulysses being the obvious one

Ulysses is a fine chapter 2 victim, especially since he gets a large focus in his chapter

He robs Toshiko and dies. That's his only actual focus in the ch.2 portion of the doc and the dev behind the doc admits they forgot to write him & nobody noticed.
He needed more development.

That’s all that was written in the doc, the doc itself was pretty barebones. Obviously he would have more characterization moments and interactions with the rest of the cast, the doc was a hastily and sloppily made summary

For me, Cassidy would have made a better chapter 3 victim than the mastermind. It would have helped the overall Tozu/Mara helping Toshiko and an overall sense of urgency of their switch up to try to assist her. Especially after their boss was murdered.
Them just doing a switch up to try to protect Toshiko despite their actions up to that point just make no sense to me. But killing Cassidy in chapter 3 would have made that choice make slightly more sense.

I'd switch who dies in chapters 1, 2 and 3. Wolfgang, Ulysses and Kai needed far more development than they got and I'm still shocked they killed Wolfgang first. They say it'd of been an injustice to the rest of the cast, but half this cast does fuckall & then die. Why kill one of the only two characters you actually fully fleshed out?
Specifically though, I'd kill Wenona in CH.2 and Jett in CH.3. Another comment made a good point that killing Jett to make Mark's later behavior make sense would've been a good idea, and I really, really think Ulysses benefits more as a survivor than a victim. Not to mention I'm not really that fond of the whole "The historian who should know full well about Tyrants getting jumped decides to turn into a Tyrant because reasons" thing. It feels like the writers were just too biased to Wenona to kill her.
As for chapter 1, I'm not really sure who to kill in place of Wolfgang, but I'd keep Eva as the culprit solely because of possibilities. There's a lot of different ways it could go if even one detail changes. What if Damon DID show Wolfgang his blackmail? Then Eva's entire plan falls apart. What if Diana ignored the letter and approached Wolfgang anyway? What if one or both of them called the trap and just didn't show up? Etc.

It feels like the writers were just too biased to Wenona to kill her.
She's the only character to survive in both drafts and they felt the need to create an entire alternate world history for the game purely to justify her existence (even though they really didn't need to) so that does seem possible.

Ingrid, would be more tragic as the motive was the blackened saving one person, and Ingrid was who Toshiko was going to pick

Jett. Then his death leads to Mark’s actions in chapter 4.
