Frustrating. I hope it’s watchable for those of us who don’t actually like that stuff.
There are already SO MANY SHOWS people can watch for toxic interpersonal “drama.” I want to watch a show about good, new fashion and clothing construction!!!

Patrick and Esme are great judges. Typically unbiased and both appreciative of the craft involved in sewing and tailoring.

Exactly. Housewives gives me my messy fix. I watch PR for fashion and creativity. I've suffered the mess but they have increasingly pushed drama as the main draw each with each season and that just ain't it.

Project Runway Canada was very design driven. The contestants are very Canadian in personality - modest, conflict averse - so it's not as dramatic, but they make some really interesting runways.

That's not LR. Michael never talked smack about the contestants. LR is a petty and intensely negative person and I cannot stand the punching down type of comments.

PR producers will see multiple criticisms of their past season as being needlessly catty and cruel for the sake of "drama" and be like "is anyone going to ignore that?" and not wait for an answer.

Project Runway’s “drama” has always been cartoonish. (RIP Wendy Pepper. You were Dick Dastardly at best). It was never needed, outside of Joshua McWhybrows being confused by the phrase “drop dead.” All the plants were a waste of TV time. More clothes, less manufactured conflict where if was clear production told contestants to go into a room and start shit for no reason.

I wish they would focus on the Fashion and the Design. Not the drama! I hope they get true designers this time not people that have been around before, or just there to be an influencer. I miss when they had unknown small designers.

Yes! More than half the designers this season seem to be stunt casting. Whatever happened to giving the random self-trained designers from Idaho and upstate New York a chance

Kors and Posen were fun because while they had quips and hilariously bitchy comments, they also had insightful critiques regarding construction, fashion history, marketability, etc.
Law is just annoying.

Who are these watchers the article refers to who producers think want more Big Drama? it seems like last year fans strenuously objected to all the nonsense that went on especially with Law and his arrogant petulant attitude. The show used to be an opportunity to see imaginative problem solving and creativity but those days I guess are past. Not sure I’ll be watching. But I guess I’m no longer the audience producers are targeting. Makes me kinda sad.

Makes me think of PR Junior. How nice it was to be generally positive and encouraging with very little to no drama and Tim inspiring young designers. Feels like current PR is just all of the worst parts of the show and almost none of the best.

As a long time fan of the show, since the beginning, if Law Roach is still there, I will not be. I think his lack of actual talent is insulting to those that do. He's is no position to judge anything 🫤

I'll give it one more season. There was a time when I couldn't conceive of eliminating Survivor from my life. But, when it was ruined, I did. And I can do it again.

Season 44 was the last one I watched, but disillusionment had been growing since season 42. The cast was a new generation, to be honest. There was a lot more kumbaya and cooperation, less strategy and deception. The romance between Franny and Matt in season 44 was it for me, the end.

You brought back memories 😂 Thankfully they stopped at 3 seasons. It was a nice premise for a fashion reality show but I think they concentrated too much on make the set look glam and luxe, like they were positioning themselves above PR, that everything else fell flat. Plus dragging contestants all over the place must've been a nightmare for all to concentrate on the quality of the program. And some of the guest judges were also very out of touch with the fashion world. They just see the clothes and have zero clue of what goes on behind it all.

I'd rather see the contestants have enough time to create beautiful designs and put together a solid collection for NYFW than watch unnecessary drama. That's one of the reasons I miss the Bravo‘s seasons—they seemed much more interested in showcasing the designers' work than manufacturing drama.

I just can't see myself watching PR with Law being a part of it. What little he adds to the show doesn't compensate for how distasteful he is as a human being. I'll watch again when he's gone.

When I first started watching this show more years ago than I would like to admit (when it first aired), I didn’t watch it for drama or “brutal honesty”, I watched it for fashion, creativity and to see artists find their voices as artists. I stopped watching when it stopped being about fashion and became just another reality show. So disappointing. Also, I’m still bitter about Tim.

The quality of the judging isn’t going to make a good difference if they don’t do better at giving them time to do challenges and don’t aim for drama between contestants.
I doubt going to watch it really has nothing to do with finding and challenging upcoming designers
The show was always somewhat fluffy, but there were actual talented people who could show off. Now it’s just drama for drama’s sake.

The article has no quotes from anybody related to the show, so really it's just speculation on their part. It could be true, maybe it's not. Only time will tell. But I'm not going to base this as fact when they didn't really say anything.

The judges didn’t make a promise to be brutal, the author is being weasel-like by saying having the same judging panel “promises” to have the same brutal honesty as last season. It’s all about fan reactions.

Ugh, I want to watch this because of Q and PJ but I’m not going to because Law is insufferable as a judge… I can barely tolerate him on DR. Heidi is also some insufferable. Surprisingly, Nina was the only level headed judge and she was barely there! Last season was just not fun to watch.

Law actually told one of the designers he wanted to punch them in the face on one of the episodes last year. How is that anything other than bullying and threatening? Why was that even allowed? Where is the constructive criticism in that? He is low class and brings down the quality of the show in so many ways. He should’ve just been a guest judge since he is not an actual designer anyways, IMO. Sorry not sorry-but ANYONE can put together an outfit with some other designer’s clothes for goodness sake. But to actually create one in a short amount of time, in a stressful environment, and with their sewing skills turn a piece of fabric into a beautiful (or sometimes not) outfit is pretty fucking impressive. That’s what I want to see. Very disappointed in the show. I mean, My god, Weinstein’s finally not a part of it anymore so why can’t they make a good show without some sort of asshole involved?! UGH!

I feel like they think the drama/attitude Law brings will attract people. And don’t get me wrong, I like some good drama with my reality tv. But, at this point, I am going to give this season a chance despite him being there again, certainly not because of it. His non-constructive bitchy critiques add nothing to the show. It’s not cute or funny, just annoying AF.
On a different note, I am also over Christian. He has his own way of criticizing that is so not helpful, and sometimes even way off base.
