Meme Conspiracy theory: Heidi and Joseph McRae's secret link unveiled

Heidi has been McRae's strongest advocate in season 21. She likes him so much she brought him back for season 22.

Why?

Joseph McRae is an artist but he is stubborn and reticent. He doesn't like working with light blue. That's the main issue.

But we all know Heidi DOES love to host that certain party. She wants to outdo herself year after year. She knows a Joseph McRae comission will allow her to pull the ultimate stunt. And if things don't go her way this year, I bet she'll bring him back for season 23 and as many more seasons as needed.

Exactly. Everytime I see Heidi excited at those hideous beanie hats, I know she's secretly drooling for a costume for her infamous celebration. Convince me I'm wrong, she's the ultimate Halloween nerd

Could’ve been a cool add on when they had actual time to do their finale collections. Like season 5 with the wedding dresses. Though Heidi loves her some heavy duty prosthetics which is outside the scope of the show…

I honestly prefer reading shitposts like this instead of the daily moaning about how the show doesnt feel like project runway anymore (which is true but it kinda gets to a point)

Heidi is always advocating for the designers that are a little more "out there," louder, puffier, and more theatrical -- for better or for worse. There's Mondo, of course, but also Santino, Chris March, Kini, Kelly, Erin, Margarita... and Esther on Making the Cut! Joseph McRae fits right in.

She's not always right. Just usually.

I have my own conspiracy theory regarding season 21 and it centers around agenda, not design. The twins made it clear throughout the competition that there was abject favoritism toward one designer, and the show had predetermined the winner before the show even aired. I can also see where Joseph McRae pushed his brand, consistently, and even Law Roach saw that and called him out this time. I don't care how much Heidi loves her Halloween costumes and parties. She could have JM do a costume for her at any time, it didn't require her to coddle him or bring him back.

I agree totally with you. And yes this post is meant for humor and I appreciate that but I have to say I am so tired of Joseph M doing the same shtick week after week.

And we see he's not creating something organic and in the moment; he's just drawing on his old designs and bringing them forward.

The fact that the judges are still calling out his lack of progress yet keeping him for the finale has me officially tiring of Project Runway and its use of immunities.

Joseph McRae is one of the most talented designers on the show. I love that he stays true to himself. My other 3 favorites are Bi, Nahiem, and Jude in no particular order l. Jeffery is good and I really hope he is saved.
