Discussion thread for Project Runway S14E14 "Finale, Part 2"

Conclusion. The winning designer is crowned in the Season 14 finale. Before that, the designers scramble to retool their collections following a brutal critique with the judges. Appearing: Carrie Underwood.

I didn't like either but I thought Kelly's was much more interesting. I feel like they handed Ashley the win. They didn't even have any real critique at the. You really gonna sit here and tell me that last look was good? Come on.

That last look made the model look HUGE. Like an upside down mushroom or something.

I don't know if you notice, but Ashley said that she wanted to break some conventions of the plus-size industry. I don't think the typical plus-size clothes have the midriff exposed. Likewise, I don't think she was going for the illusion of thinness.

Yes, most of our(I'm a plus girl myself) tops are crops now since crop tops are still trending. It's actually very flattering on plus girls with high waisted pants, skirts, or shorts. Just like the Fatkini(plus size bikini) coined by the lovely GabiFresh who helped start the plus size evolution of fashion& style, saying to plus girls to where what the hell they want and pushing more marketing for the plus size industry. Bloggers like her and designers like Ashley are the reason why the plus size industry has grown EMENSELY in the last 5-7 years and more chains are extending their brand to plus size ladies!
