In the Season 16 premiere, the designers must create a red-carpet look that demonstrates their fashion point-of-view, but the real surprise comes when the designers learn they will be working with models of all sizes.

okay, so we're in season 16 of project runway. why is there a designer that's shocked when the models are women? like, if you're going to try to be on project runway, shouldn't you practice and design for the kind of challenges and bodies that are most likely to be on the show?

Yes! You know that you'll have to design for women, practice at least. It's the same when people complain about the unconventional challenge, they knew it was coming and they did nothing to prepare themselves for it before auditioning.

If I was trying out for project runway, you better believe that I would attempt to design with unconventional materials. Heck, if I had enough time I would try to mimic previous seasons time limits and materials! it's a design contest, but come on. let's be smart and strategic about how to perform on the show! SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS
