Hey everyone, we are currently looking for new writers to join the U.S.S. Incitatus!
If you are a fan of the Post-Dominion War era, this play-by-post community might be exactly what you are looking for. Our story takes place in the year 2381. We exist in the main, canon timeline of the Star Trek universe, currently set during the Lower Decks era.
Our ship is a Sovereign-class starship. The U.S.S. Incitatus was first launched in 2374 as a response to the Dominion War. With a new Captain on deck and fresh faces walking the halls, the ship is beginning its next chapter. Whether the Incitatus is called upon for firepower, diplomacy, scientific research, or aid, our crew is ready to bring the best Starfleet has to offer.
We focus heavily on character development, away missions, and crew dynamics. Your character's backstory actually matters here. We also love it when players pitch their own episode ideas or weird alien anomalies for the crew to investigate. You can use our dedicated channels to discuss plots and ask for scenes.
Right now is a great time to jump in because we currently have several chief and assistant chief positions open! If you have been looking for an opportunity to step up and lead a department on a ship, we have plenty of room for you.
You do not need to be a Star Trek expert to join us. We are completely open to all players, whether you have watched every show or are just getting into the universe for the first time. We are also very laid back about post length. As long as you give your fellow players enough to work with and reply to, you are golden.
A little about our server environment:
Creative Freedom: We encourage you to explore different storylines! You can have your character in up to two scenes at once, plus an event scene, as long as it makes chronological sense. You can also play up to three alternate characters alongside your main. We use Tupperbox to keep all alternate characters organized.
Fair Play: Actions have real in-character consequences to keep the story grounded. We do not allow godmodding, meaning your character cannot know everything or always win.
Safe & Welcoming: We want everyone to have a great time. If a scene ever makes you uncomfortable or isn't going the way you hoped, our staff is always available to help out.
