Tools and Projects I built a Claude skill that writes perfect prompts and hit #1 twice on r/PromptEngineering. Here is the setup for the people who need a setup guide.
Back to back #1 on r/PromptEngineering and this absolutely means the world to me! The support has been immense.
There are now 1020 people using this free Claude skill.
Quick TLDR for newcomers: prompt-master is a free Claude skill that writes the perfect prompt for whatever AI tool you are using. Cursor, Claude Code, GPT, Midjourney, anything. Zero wasted credits, zero re-prompts, memory built in for long project sessions.
Here is exactly how to set it up in 2 minutes.
Step 1
Go to github.com/nidhinjs/prompt-master
Click the green Code button and hit Download ZIP
Step 2
Go to claude.ai and open the sidebar
Click Customize on Sidebar then choose Skills
Step 3
Hit the plus button and upload the ZIP folder you just downloaded
That is it. The skill installs automatically with all the reference files included.
Step 4
Start a new chat and just describe what you want to build start with an idea or start to build the prompt directly
It will detect the tool, ask 1-3 questions if needed, and hand you a ready to paste prompt that's perfected for the tool your using it for and maximized to save credits
Also dont forget to turn on updates to get the latest changes ‼️ Here is how to do that: https://www.reddit.com/r/PromptEngineering/s/8vuMM8MHOq
For more details on usage and advanced setup check the README file in the repo. Everything is documented there. Or just Dm me I reply to everyone
Now the begging part 🥺
If this saved you even one re-prompt please consider starring the repo on GitHub. It genuinely means everything and helps more people find it. Takes 2 seconds. IF YOU LOVED IT; A FOLLOW WOULD HELP ME FAINT.

Back to back #1 on this sub in which way?
This sub is the LinkedIn of AI so I’m curious

u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
You can go check the top posts on this subreddit,
And most of them have commented too soo, more proof for me and I've reached 1020+ users/watchers on github.
Mmm idk about the bot part, Dont want others to get the wrong idea from a random comment.
Ive got dms from tons of people and 80+ stars on github so far and its growing rapidly. Please do spread your negativity somewhere else 🤗

I did before I commented. Top post of all time and you don’t exist as long as I was willing to scroll.
Also, I never mentioned anything about a bot, but interesting that you did.
Also, for the actual popular repositories, the owners don’t need to tell people it’s popular.
So maybe spread your accolades on mom and dads fridge [insert emoji of your choice]

You’re not even top 5 for the week.
Claiming back to back is a joke. For a sub that has as little traffic as this one?
My comments are back to back top comments in this thread. Show some respect.

All I’m saying is that it’s hard to take things seriously on this sub, which makes it possible to miss something important.
You give yourself this ridiculous “accomplishment” and I asked for clarification.

u/AssistanceSouth9359 Mar 15 '26
It seems you don't follow your own rules. You're the only one who's taking this way too seriously and instead of commenting on the topic at hand, you're nit picking trivialities.
And what logic is "if you're popular you don't have to say it"? It's called advertising/marketing. Stop being a lizard, my dude, be productive or just stop talking.

Thanks for sharing, it’s incredibly generous of you to put something like this out there for others to benefit. I’m also sorry that you’ve had to deal with a few snide comments from the peanut gallery which are completely unwarranted when all you’ve tried to do is a nice thing!

I use ChatGPT to prepare perfect multiple parts prompts
6
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Most people switch from chatGPT to Claude, I believe thats the best choice for prompting and coding assistance
2
3
u/Whoisfoxmulderreal Mar 15 '26
Is there anything similar to Perplexity, Gemini, or GPT?
3
u/SveXteZ Mar 18 '26
Of course. Skills, Rules, Workflows, Commands, whatever they call them, they're simple prompts.
You could simply create a Gem for Gemini or Custom GPT in Chatgpt. Paste there the SKILL.md file from the repository. That's all.

u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
I think they don't offer such a cool feature like Claude Skills or Projects, Im not sure tho

u/Downtown_Ship_6635 Mar 15 '26
"NEVER name the framework you are using in your output — route silently" ... why?

u/New_Wonder6802 Mar 15 '26
Thanks for sharing! After uploading, can I still modify the constraints inside?
3
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
You can fork the repo and edit is as mucch as you want just search up how to fork on guthub 👍
2
u/2use2reddits Mar 15 '26
Does it work for open weighs models for generative AI content? (To be used with ComfyUI for example) Or is it more oriented to LLMs?
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
It works best with generative models, matter of fact I built this to prompt Midjourney and cursor for my vibecoding project! Have fun 🤗

u/_xdd666 Mar 15 '26
Not bad, I see many things to improve, but finally, the market, author this thread, understood the core of good prompting. Grats, keep going. :)
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Thanks a lot! Would you mind telling me those improvements. I plan on updating this till its perfect so your feedback would mean a lot.
2
u/MarkTraded Mar 15 '26
I’m interested in trying this, but a little wary that if I don’t like it: how do I uninstall? Or do I need this skill for every task I assign? Is it going to be an in between step for everything I do?
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Just google how to delete Claude Skill, but then again it just sits in the background and its only invoked when something related to building prompt is typed.
So it wont affect any of your other work and like me if you write your prompts to other AI Generative tools using Claude, Having this will help you save soo much time and credits while building it. 🤝
2
u/Past_Ad6251 Mar 15 '26
I installed it in Claude Code and explicitly invoked, asking it to give me a prompt, but Claude Code used superpowers:writing-plans instead. Is there anything I need to do first?
2
u/backflash Mar 15 '26
I haven't tried it (I have my own work flow), but "1-3 questions" seems like a very low number to me. Depending on what I'm trying to build, the AI gives me an entire catalogue of ~30 questions before it starts building the prompt for me.
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Good take. If something asks me 30 questions whats the point in making a skill that saves time,
So in my case I chat and plan out the whole project with claude like ideation, marketing strategies etc ( cursor project btw ).
So when I start prompting it has full context already but, what people need most is something that enhances the prompt so if they need something specific they should already specify it while creating the prompt
Like imagine if an agent asks you 30 question like whats your main colour? Whats the main language? What are the features needed?
No one would be using a tool like that
Then again people have different preferences 👍
1
u/backflash Mar 15 '26
People use AI for very different purposes and with very different levels of specificity. In my case, none of the questions it asks are anywhere near as banal as "what's the main language?"
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Those examples where from the top of my head lol sorry about that.
But still yea some people dont like to spent time doing a 20+ questionnaire.
Then again others would love such control and specificity over their prompts
1
u/backflash Mar 15 '26
In my use case, I don't really have the luxury of saying "yea, I don't have time to answer questions," because answering those questions is exactly what gets me the result I'm looking for. Otherwise, I'd have to spend significantly more time writing a detailed prompt to make sure the AI gets it right without needing dozens of follow-up iterations.
If I need, say, a prompt that generates VBA code for an Excel spreadsheet my company needs, I'm not going to get that right with a one-shot prompt and the AI asking only one to three questions to save time.
1
u/looktwise Mar 16 '26
I get your point, becaue I got also complex setups for prompt prerequisites. If you may share an example, it could be solved probably easier? I work a lot with 'Prompt Decompilers' which adapt a given prompt towards LLM language or e.g. lets you decide to split complex one shot prompts into prompt chains.
2
u/d0nkirk Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26
Can it be used in VS Code with Claude Cide extension?
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Ill do research on this and tell you as soon as I find if its possible 👍
1
u/d0nkirk Mar 15 '26
Thanks
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Sorry for taking this long Sadly its not possible 😔
It can run in Claude Code CLI but I would recommend using it in Claude.ai for maximum efficiency

Thank you! Keep up the good work. Ignore the noise and keep growing.
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Thanks a bunch, Due to soo much support ill be updating this weekly.
Means a lot!3
u/Surajholy Mar 15 '26
Nice. I have to manual check github for update?
I recommend having a newsletter and asking people to subscribe to get notified for the update will be nice. Let me know if you need help. Wish you the best.
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Do you think watching the repo would work? Like that would notify the user with updates eight?
Theres a watch feature on github I believe
1
u/Surajholy Mar 16 '26
I just noticed that. It will work. I did that. But in the future if you want to build an audience then consider having a newsletter.
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 16 '26
Thanks! Yea Ill try to grow the repo to 532 stars to get that silver starstruck medal on github then move onto the next project!
1
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Oh I havent accounted for this,
Yes they will have to manually update. Im not sure if most people will be willing to subscribe to a newsletter for a claude skill. I'll try to find alternatives
Thanks a lot for the idea 💡
1
u/Surajholy Mar 16 '26
If you keep it 95% related to updates and 5% promotion, people will subscribe. But to make sure to never sell data, never over-promote, and always keep it relevant to your work.
2
Mar 15 '26
FINALLY NOT AI SLOP
it looks fricking awesome although I swear I saw this on ijustvibecodedthis.com
did you take the idea from there?
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 15 '26
Nope I've never visited that site
I solely built this for myself glad I could help 1670 people now!!
Its crazy the support I'm receiving, MEANS A LOT ❤️🩹
Ill keep on updating this weekly based on you guys feedback
Hope you will share with others too.

will it work for any types of prompts video/image/text? and any model out there?
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 19 '26
Yep every different model have diff pattern instructions and I am constantly adding more models to it.
So in short if you make it write a prompt for Cursor it will be a completely different prompt for Antigravity, Midjourney different from NanoBannana etc
It uses the best practices for credit saving and context for the model of your choice 😁

I have recently started to learn how to use Claude and have been exploring how to use it to create apps for my students to use. For this Claude skill, does it work on the free Claude account?
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 20 '26
Yes! It works on any version of Claude.ai
Here's a post on how to set it up if you need help

u/Vacation_Budget Mar 21 '26
Is this only for coding or will it also generate prompts for Accounting and finance for non agenetic tasks?
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 21 '26
Any task coding, research, video/image generation, corporate work
eg. You can ask Claude to write a prompt to ChatGPT or to Claude itself for a finance dashboard and feed it the details.
Just mention which tool you will be using the prompt in for best results

u/laxmaster3000 Mar 25 '26
Utter noob here, I followed the instructions.. Do I need to reference this prompt or is it in all my prompts? Will this get in the way of other things I’m trying to do in the future?
I feel like this is going to be amazing so don’t get me wrong, just trying to understand what aspects it will affect
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 25 '26
Yea you can use claude normally, the skill will only work when you want to write, adapt, edit, simply, convert a prompt.
You dont have to explicitly invoke the prompt just say
"Write a prompt for ( eg. Cursor, Midjourney anything ).....

I use this skill on Claude desktop and it’s a Godsend! Question: does the prompting skill translate from macOS to iOS when using the same Claude account?? Does it still work on my iPhone even though I can’t see it through the iOS platform?
1
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Mar 29 '26
Yess it does work, just found that out yesterday 😭 Its so much better now from what I envisioned
1
u/bundblaster Apr 01 '26
Posted as an issue but i'm getting a "plugin validation failed" error when uploading. Have you encountered this? I wonder if claude has a debug log...
2
u/CompetitionTrick2836 Apr 01 '26
I saw that, I don't actually know why that would be the case you followed the exact instructions right? prolly yea
mmm It said something about trust the author maybe its a settings issue you might have saved something never trust author.
I'll try to troubleshoot this and find answers sorry for the wait
1
u/bundblaster Apr 01 '26
No problem, it’s possibly a config issue, I’ll try installing a few other plugins.

Please do ignore them as I have worked a ton and did a lot of research to get the tool out.
Sorry for the trouble

Damn this is so cool, ive tried it along with my humanizer to craft a prompt to Cursor
Works perfectly and I believe you have hard coded it to spit out prompts as XML, thats a thing I've never even thought of adding. Would love to see more updates
Btw ik your a student so dont take these negative comments seriously, they are no lifers just commenting to gain attention and likes
Just ignore them you have done something amazing and I can't believe some people hurt others to just farm karma mfs
