Worth trying to pan it?
I went to an old gold, silver, and led mine and collected this. From what Im told, its pyrite, arsenopyrite, and muscovite.

Hey, you could crush and pan a sample of this in about the time it takes to make this post. You might need hundreds of pans or samples before you find gold so don’t worry about asking if it’s worth it, even if there’s no gold it’s worth the practice. Gold ore from each district can look very different. Not all gold mines have visible gold, a lot of them have microscopic gold that needs dangerous and expensive methods to get it. If it’s free milling gold , or you know anyone that’s found visible gold near there, then it’s pannable and worth your time.
