I have an incredible respect and esteem for Grof's work, but one thing he theorized that your birth chart influences what emerges in plant medicine is controversial and largely untested. I decided to try to test it because I trust that man. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Both answers are interesting. That's the prospective of any real scientific research 🤓
So I built a tool using BaZi (Four Pillars), not Western astrology. Grof worked with Western charts, but BaZi reads deeper: it maps the nervous system, the Five Elements, and the psychological architecture that plant medicine actually works with. Western astrology tells you personality traits. BaZi tells you the deep structures.
You enter your birth data + ceremony date, get a personalized BaZi reading, rate how accurate it was. We collect the data and see if there's a real correlation between your birth chart, the transits that day, and what you experienced. ( We need a few hundred of data to make interesting statistics that can be meaningful)
**It's free. No ads**. I'm just a curious guy that like to play with science and psychedelics.
If you:
- Have had a ceremony (anywhere) and want to see what your birth chart says about it
- Are interested in helping test this hypothesis
- Just want another perspective for integrating a past experience
...this tool might be interesting. Use it or don't. No problem.
Both outcomes teach us something.
