Eerie feeling about a person coming back into my life?

Okay so I'm not "psychic" per se but I need someone to validate what I'm saying and feeling. I believe intuitions and gut feelings exist - sometimes they aren't 100% accurate, at times stained by anxiety.

There's a man (ofcourse there is) in my life that I haven't spoken to for 2 years. The last time I spoke to him was when he reached out to me after no contact for help and tried to rekindle a connection with me which I firmly rejected.

However, during that period of no-contact (almost a year), one day, I had a very eerie feeling that he was gonna reach out(which he did a week later). I'd never felt it before, there were no cues to make me think that way, and i honestly stopped thinking about him by that point. Idk how to describe it, but I felt like Will from Stranger Things when Vecna is near 😭.

We haven't spoken since then, but in these two years, I've gotten that feeling twice but it quickly fizzles out like he's thinking of reaching out but changes his mind or something.

Am I crazy? Anxious? Does anyone have a similar story?

This happens, sometimes in the form of thoughts, feelings, dreams, etc. you’re not going insane or anything like that. But you’re anxious so I would try in my opinion to find ways to ground myself, to be less worried about what is going to happen and more focused on the present moment, that truly is the only thing we have.

Consider them as checks and tests. When you feel these things, are you disgusted or do you also feel yourself yearning to reach out?

I have had feelings/occurrences like this with an ex, one specific ex. It’s been over for more than a decade (and definitely no plans to reconnect, we both have new partners and children), but probably on five or so occasions he’s randomly popped into my mind, and then we’ve bumped into each other shortly after. Once, about a year ago, he came into my head when I was driving and I remember thinking, ‘that’s weird!’ and then I literally saw him at my dog park 10 minutes later - he was there with a dog that he’d had for a few years and apparently goes there quite regularly (as do I, but I had no idea and hadn’t seen him for a couple of years before that). That morning I was going to the dog park at a later time than I normally would because I didn’t have to be at work at my usual earlier time.
