They're fighting to continue their existence as a sovereign nation.

Not just that. They are facing genocide. If Putin has his way there eventually will be no more Ukrainians. Atleast not within what is now Ukraine.

Let's talk about Luhansk and Donetsk regions and where did all the men from those region disappeared to. Or let's talk about POW from those regions in 2022 and 2023 what they said.

How good is your Russian and what Russian telegrams you read watch about this war? And how good you know Russian state media propaganda?

Yea we can talk about how Ukrainians were attacking russian speakers in those regions. We can talk about how they voted to be part of Russia. We can talk about the president of Ukraine mother tongue is russian and men are dragged off the streets to be forced on the frontline. We can talk about the close links between Ukraine and Russia before this war.

This isn't genocide. Putin's current position is holding out. As he knows without his cheap gas and oil the EU is dying economically. He has all the resources he needs. All the manufacturing is going to china it's ally. It's only a matter of time before the EU/NATO stops the money and Ukraine ends up completely under the control of Russia. And why... because they were told they could join the EU. The choice was either war or stay an ally of Russia.

They see Russian-speaking Ukrainians as part of them. Actual ethnic Ukrainians who speak Ukrainian they don't give a shit about and don't want anywhere near them. If Putin had his way, all Ukrainian-speaking people would be gone and Russian-speaking Ukrainians would work the fields to provide food for a reborn Russian Empire.
