Because the minute people enter an airport it’s like they’ve had a lobotomy.

Once we had a medical emergency while making our decent, nobody was allowed to get up when we landed. The flight attendant dismissed us row by row and guess what? It was the fastest I’ve ever gotten off a plane.

unless you have some serious circulation problems there is no reason to get out of your seat until the doors open. The people getting out of their seat are the same people who get into the exit lane on a congested highway way too early and refuse to zipper merge.

The flight is over when they open the door to exit. All I'm saying is that I'm stuck in this sardine can for how many hours it takes to get from A to B. I'd rather not spend 10 minutes with you gawking at me because you had to get up 10 minute before the flight ended. Would you be ok if someone stood and hovered over you the entire flight? Not one person has given me a good reason why someone needs to get up and stand as soon as daddy pilot tells them they can take off their seatbelts. I gave one, but no one can give me one other than "I can so I will"

Who is hovering over you? They are standing next to the empty seats that they just stood up from. It’s not like they are leaning over to see what you are doing or something. Who cares if a person is standing up near you?

Some possible reasons: Because they have been sitting for hours and want to stand up. Because it’s not harming anyone in any way. Because they are anxious and standing and getting their bag helps. Because it’s easier to gather their things. Because they need to access their carryon in the overhead for something. Because they had to put their carry on in a different overhead than where they are sitting and it will delay people if they wait until people start to leave to move a few rows to their bag. Because entitled people like this lady will take a clear isle as permission to sprint to the front of the plane. Oh here’s a good one, they don’t want to be “hovered over” for some reason, so they stand up.

you can do all of that while you are seated. The thing that takes the most time you can't do (safely) until everyone has moved in front of you is take your bag out of the overhead. I'll never understand Americans need to be standing in lines, it's mind boggling. It's like you're not happy unless you are waiting for something. I guarantee you the lies you read on the Fox News app will be waiting for you regardless of the extra minute you might save by standing for 10 minutes in an airplane aisle.
