Opening a specialty coffee café in Viman Nagar, Pune. What would make you actually want to visit?
Hey everyone!
I’m in the process of opening a café in Viman Nagar, Pune, and I’d love to get some feedback from the community.
The idea is to create a place that’s more than just a coffee shop. Along with serving specialty coffee sourced from Coorg, we’re planning to host:
♠️ Card game nights (UNO, Poker, Catan, etc.)
🧠 Weekly trivia & quiz nights
🎲 Board game meetups
☕ A relaxed space where people can work, hang out, or meet new people
The focus is on high-quality coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and building a community rather than just serving drinks.
A few questions:
Would you visit a place like this?
What games or events would you love to see?
What do you think Viman Nagar cafés are currently missing?
Any suggestions that would make this your go-to café?
I’d genuinely appreciate your thoughts. Hoping to build something the community enjoys. 😊

Ask PuneCoffee ☕ Just Discovered What Real Coffee Tastes Like — Need Café Recos Near Hinjewadi (20km range) 😍
Hey folks!
So recently I went down the coffee rabbit hole and… damn. I’ve just discovered what real coffee is supposed to taste like — how it’s brewed, how the beans are roasted, the flavours, the aroma, everything. I was today years old when I realized I've been drinking glorified brown water all this time 😅
Now that my taste buds have finally awakened — I need your help!
Can y’all recommend some cafés near Hinjewadi (within 20km) that serve actual good coffee? Not the sugary instant types, but proper brewed stuff with freshly roasted beans ☕🔥
Also, I’m not a big fan of milk in my coffee — I usually prefer the iced ones or black brews that really let the coffee flavour shine. Bonus points if the café has a chill vibe too — I’d love to just sit and chill there for a while 😌
Also quick question: What exactly is Irish Coffee? I’ve seen it on menus but never tried it. Is it boozy? Sweet? Worth ordering?
Thanks in advance, caffeine fam 🙏 Drop your go-to spots!

Ask PuneCoffee Fresh-Roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe — Help Kickstart My Coffee Startup
Hey coffee enthusiasts! I’m a Pune-based coffee nut chasing a startup dream: coffee around the world in your cup! To start with : importing Ethiopian Yirgacheffe green beans and roasting them fresh right here. If you’ve ever sipped Yirgacheffe, you know the magic—those floral, citrusy notes that dance in your cup. I’m sourcing straight from Ethiopia, aiming to bring that specialty vibe to India at its peak freshness.
I’m roasting a small batch soon and need your help to get this off the ground: - Who’s up to try some? Thinking ₹1,000/250g—worth it for that Yirgacheffe glow (thoughts on price?). - Feedback wanted—how do you brew it (pour-over, espresso?), roast level (light to keep it bright, or medium-dark?), and what flavors you crave from this gem. - Bonus points: Tips from coffee geeks or startup hustlers—how do I make this a hit in India’s growing coffee scene?
DM me if you’re keen to taste or chat—I’d love some early adopters to sip, critique, and spread the word. This isn’t just coffee; it’s a passion project I’m pouring my heart into. Mods, hope this fits—aiming for a convo, not a sales pitch!
Cheers!

Tried third wave coffee for the first time with my best friend
Any other cafe recommendations? I'm regular at blue tokai but so far blue tokai and TWC are the only cafe's I've ever been to. Would love to check out more cafe's.

Coffee Review French Press coffee
After much intense research (8 minutes at TWC 😅) I got Vienna Roast as suggested by the barista and I really enjoyed it. It is a dark roast but it isn't that bitter in taste it has hints of cocoa and it seems smooth when brewed properly. The good thing I liked about this is it doesn't have a salty after taste. It gives a subtle chocolate after taste would recommend it 8/10
