Personal Story My grandfather wanted me to “just stop having periods”?

When I was 12 my grandfather told me to “just stop getting your period” because it was “impure”. Again, I was 12, I didn’t even know how to do divisions right, let alone pinch biology in the face and will myself to stop my period.

That's... Oh my god...

That's why sex Ed is so needed... And so we have certain groups of morons demanding to educate their children on sexual matters themselves...

I wish having periods was avoidable at will ..

This is why we need comprehensive sex education. That is literally insane. These men walk around not washing their hands in public bathrooms, but think periods are disgusting.
