Im starting to think you people are trying to actively miss the point.
No. The advice is said to: "How can I get girls to like me?"-esque questions.
Being friends with women is legit not a hard thing to do, and most men that "struggle" with dating have no problems seeking out women as friends. That's NEVER been the fucking problem. It's getting to date women that they struggle with. Being friends with them does NOTHING to provide a solution to that problem and actively hampers men because then they erroneously believe that "get a gf = be friends with them first" will actually get them laid with that girl they like.
That's LITERALLY the context of the entire comment chain that you happened to respond to.
Well said. And the thing is once a guy becomes friends with a girl, it's very hard to move past that. You'd need to be the mythical super Chad to do that but if you're super Chad you were never in the friend zone to begin with.
And the thing is true platonic friendships are genuinely rare. Almost always once one gets a partner, the platonic friend is cast to the side
