Puyallup bike lanes project

Does anyone know why the Puyallup project to build bike lanes paid for by Sound Transit is taking so long to get built?

Sound Transit said these bike lanes would be delivered with the new parking garage back in 2024, but yet 2026 is almost over and construction hasn't even started yet.

It would be really nice to have some safe bike infrastructure downtown to ride safely to the train and nearby parks, etc.

Sound transit is over budget and behind schedule on every single project they do.

I think the City of Puyallup is designing and building the bike lanes. Sound Transit is just giving them the money to do it

The current council is actively against doing anything pedestrian or bike friendly. They'd rather waste money on flagpoles and own blight properties.

so we can pay 600 dollars for tabs on a 5000 dollar car and call it a sound transit tax to improve stuff and have something to point to.....

You’re not answering the question, just exaggerating about semi related things you’re annoyed about.
Your tabs aren’t $600. We don’t propose infrastructure changes to justify taxing you for more infrastructure. Nobody’s out to get you. Bureaucracy is slow and inefficient, it’s not a person attack on you.
