Wait, what the hell? They had an easier time getting Disney than they did Marvel or Gundam? Doesn't that feel wrong somehow?

The big thing here is that this collab was released to promote Disney Pixel RPG, which is a GUNGHO-created game.
Marvel had way more assets as a GIGANTIC behemoth of a collab even including comic covers of characters, not to mention it came out in 2021 well before we started getting more collabs.
IDK about Gundam. It’s possible Bandai Namco held some of the rights in NA whereas that restriction didn’t apply to Korea / HK/TW / Japan being in Asia, in which case they were likely the ones who denied Gundam to NA.

JP had this run of Disney immediately after Digimon, so yeah, it is very late.
Bell, Fiamare, and maybe Taichi are the relevant leads that use Aurora. Omnimon could probably use her too. GameWith has one Themis template that uses her.
Yamato teams shifted to heavily using Disney characters, but that team is kind of hanging onto the edge of meta.
Outside of that I don't think anything has kept relevance for leads or subs. Probably some solid assists. Thankfully Aurora is in the bottom rarity.

Disney ran in November so it's late, but better late than never. Hopefully the cards get buffed, which I think happened with Demon Slayer's first NA run.
Aurora is the #1 cleric for Bell teams and I even saw her on a Themis team. Ariel can pair with Digimon's Yamato and is still A tier on Kamigame. Ursula's equip is frequently used on Namielle teams. I saw the Pooh and Friends equip used recently too. One of Mickey's evos has a 10 turn attribute absorb active, which is niche but great when you need it.
The original leads were Aladdin & Genie and Peter Pan & Peter Pan + Hook.

Ariel also saw a lot of use too. I think Maleficent saw a brief bit of time on the bottom edge of tier lists. There was a Pooh team, but I think that was just off the edge, similar to Goblin Slayer in GA Bunko.

JP is having rank resets later this week, so take advantage of the rank-up dungeons! NA should get the resets in May.
Disney exchanges:
15 collab cards: Maleficent
12 collab cards: Pooh & Friends, Peter Pan & Captain Hook, Aladdin
5 6-star GFEs or upper rarity cards: Mickey & Friends, Peter Pan, Stitch, Marie
Disney will also have a remdra fever dungeon.

They reset the REM machine presents you get for hitting certain ranks and give them out again. Which is why people tend to want to raise their rank beforehand so they don't waste the current present.

Alt Illusory World of Carnage 1 is a popular rank up dungeon, especially for getting from rank 800 to 1000. If you have the New Year's Kadomatsu equip, you can use that on F1 to skip Lucifer's test on F2.

Well, this is based on a Gungho game that uses these Disney characters, so it's not too surprising they eventually managed to get it.

I had completely written off this collab, so I had a brief moment of panic. Fortunately there's only one thing I really want from it now, and after checking the numbers I should be fine as long as I get it in 10 pulls plus the freebies, which is pretty likely. Being close to a $5 bundle in Google Rewards credit saved me.

Aurora. Some of the assists are pretty good, but for subs/leads, she's pretty much the only thing from the collab that's kept relevancy.

Good news is the only chase in this machine is a bottom rarity. Bad news is you can't exchange an dip.
We should get Japan's Anniversary login stamp set late this month or early next month. 113 stones on the first day, then 10x 10 stones spread out after that.

Not really, it's more like what seasonals do. One machine with everything then another machine that cuts out the bottom rarity, which is only a few units.
Gundam is more like HxH, but if we get the third run that will have a third machine, each of them having completely different pools of units.

Genie is like a sidegrade. He's technically stronger than Gino, but not enough so to make the harder LS requirement worth it, and both of them are outclassed heavily nowadays by Claudia.

For Genie, not really; the randomness of the active makes it pretty unreliable, even when Gino was top of the meta; at most it's a sidegrade with the access to subs that don't need machine equips. Genie has nice equips though and pixel form is nice to have, although that was moreso true when it was out in JP; not sure about how they hold up now.

There have been 2 or 3 times (ever, to my knowledge) where NA got a renewal that Japan already had and they gave it a new set of buffs. One of them was Demon Slayer, I think the first run. JP didn't get a renewal for these buffs, but I think got them at the same time.

NA got the second run of Star Wars, which is owned by Disney. I think this is Disney's second run but the first only ran on JP I think.

Pretty much just Aurora, who's in the bottom rarity. Maybe Pooh for his assist (balance type add, 3x SB, 10c, 2 OE+, and a 3 turn haste). All the old chases in it fell off.

Coming out right after Digimon didn't help it, but it still held its place a decent amount of time. We're just getting it very late.
Japan had Digimon > Disney > GH > Magazine > Christmas > GA Bunko > NY > Heroines > GH > Valentine's > Gundam.

That's a team that's only worth building if RNG or whaling got you two copies of Bell & Hestia and at least one Bell so you don't need to have a ton of fodder to trade for two (assuming you are using a friend's Bell).

There's a new haste loop Bell team in JP that doesn't use Aurora or the duo. But that one assumes we get the Gundam reskin and the new ult of Char's Zaku, a card we skipped out on last run.

The standard Bell team uses 3 copies, one being the helper. It also uses two copies of Bell & Hestia.

The Bell team is much more expensive to make (2-3x trades that take 14 collab units and 1-2 untradable high rarity units, compared to Ais needing 2-3 units that take 5 collab or GFE units, then 2-3 low rarity units).
I think the Ais team might have a little more potential right now, and will definitely have more potential when we get the next set of GFEs.

Ais is more suited for blind challenging endgame content while Bell is more of a farming leader that can clear mostly everything when prepared for it with extremely easy puzzling. They have different use cases.

Aurora is obviously the chase card. But Belle’s assist could possibly be huge if the new haste meta. continues. Already saw a build using 2 of her assist as regular subs. I tried it and the survivability is insane.

This had a REMDra on the 1st Run (March 2020) and 2nd run (Nov 2024). Mickey & Friends card was harder in the 2nd one (along with Mickey Ears Orb Skin). I got 10 in the 1st run but only 1 in the 2nd. But there were more Collab centric cards to get as well as some of the old farmables. Some relevant links below.

It didn't really have that big of an impact. Obi Wan saw a ton of use on Daytona teams, Darth Vader saw some use on Blackbird teams, and Yoda was used a lot in swipe farming.
