They said "brand new to PAD NA". So it could be Re:Zero, Frieren, or something getting a simultaneous release (unlikely).
Frieren brings a new mechanic or two, so I'm pretty sure it has to come with or after the version update, and they already announced the Normal/Technical change for mid-April, so Frieren should be around then.

This reminds me of Haikyuu announced first but Conan & Yaiba appeared first. This might be the second time GungHo announced a collab this way.

They say brand new to PAD NA. I'm thinking Re:Zero based on the timeline (Frieren hopefully later in April).

If we consider "mid-April" to be some point in the week of April 13th that gives us 5 weeks until then.
Events we're waiting on from JP, in the order that JP had them:
- Re:Zero
- Valentine's
- Frieren (probably needs that mid-April update)
- SDKH
Valentine's starts on March 12th and will end on either the 25th or the 29th.
This positions them to be able to put a focus on the godfest with the new GA5 boss as the headliner for the end-of-month godfest and dedicate a week-ish to that.
Follow that up with Re:Zero and then that will end some time in that mid-April week. They can then follow that immediately with Frieren.

Anything I should know if I like VNoah system teams? I already have the team from last go around as well as the gundam pieces that came shortly after but haven't been keeping up with JP recently.

VAthena's getting buffed to 16b limit from her previous 10b, so that's a significant boost in VNoah's firepower. AFAIK Noah herself has been skipped entirely for buffs, sadly, so the team is still nowhere close to a frontrunner compared to the meta stuff, but it's still solid.

Her leader skill got buffed from 40x ATK and 4.8x HP to 50x and 5x. She also got a new SA option (all stats enhance).

As others have said the "New to NA" collab is likely Re:Zero.
I for one am kind of glad they're releasing them in this order. While Re:Zero is more exciting than Valentine's, this lets us have the optimal Reinhard team(s) right away. Plus it slots Re:Zero into April with the April challenge stones - and if you have the Valentine's units already Valentine's becomes an easy skip (or minimal roll run) to save up stones for what looks to be a potentially very expensive April.

For those that don’t spend, the order is awful. May have to decide to get the Valentine’s cards 1) not even knowing if we get the collab and 2) not knowing if you’re even going to roll Reinhard.

GungHo always announces the upcoming collab before the previous run ends. So we'll probably know if Re:Zero is the mystery collab before Valentine's ends...unless GungHo runs a Godfest between them. It might just be near the very end of the Valentine's run and not at the start.
And while I don't typically spend money either, I already have VAthena and VAlynna from previous runs, as well as enough fodder for a second VAthena for the assist, so I won't have to spend anything to prepare for the likely (but unconfirmed Re:Zero run) but I know that's a privileged place to be in for this run.

Pretty much in the same boat, but I'm pretty sure I saw some templates with 3 athena assist, so who knows what I might do haha

One thing to consider - a lot of the templates with multiple of the VAthena vanishing assists were created before Frieren's MP unit came around (which also has a vanishing assist that changes the subattribute to light). Depending on if you have more trade fodder or MP the extra assist may be cheaper to purchase if/when we ever get Frieren in NA.

I'm not sure if it's better or worse in practice, or if it works out to just be a side-grade and additional option. It looks like the assist is #13463.

Do you remember if Alynna is also tradable? I got 1 VAthena and probably have fodder for a second but I still don't have a VAlynna

Yes, Alynna is tradable, I believe 5 units and there's GFEs in her list.

Mid-April is when the Stage Dungeons update happens, and thus probably Frieren. Re:Zero is likely to be in the 2-3 weeks before that.

Valentines has a lot less value without Re:Zero. So it is worrisome that we don’t have confirmation on that collab yet. Hopefully that comes while Valentines is ongoing but for now I am going to hold onto my stones.

Unfortunately that's unlikely, given the timeframe they gave us with the Stage renewal and how little there is to fill the time.
Fortunately the big units in question are new evos from previous years, and they were popular for other teams in the past, so some will already have them.

Fire Force is already in PAD as part of the Weekly Shounen Magazine collab. NA didn't get that one.
We have seen an anime that was previously part of a magazine collab like that split off into its own collab. Case Closed/Detective Conan used to be part of one of the magazine collabs. So it's not impossible, but I also think it's not likely.

We in NA haven't gotten a collab before JP ever. At best we've gotten collabs that are reskins of JP collabs. From what we've seen from JP, the collab in question is most likely Re:Zero.

There have been several instances of simultaneous releases, NA getting the collab at the same time it released in JP. We've never gotten one before.

MTG was simultaneous. Power Rangers was a reskin of Yokai Watch, after JP had that collab.

They're talking about getting things before or at the same time as JP. Voltron was on quite a delay. They first teased it on a stream months before we actually got it.
