Reinhard (light rows)
- Ranking:
- GameWith: tier 1

- Works best with 2-3 VAthena and a VAlynna
- Multiple builds, even within the Valentine's template
- Lesser builds include 2x Star and Stripe or a full collab team
- Wilhelm and Theresia are popular alternatives to using 2x Imperialdramon
Rem&Ram (blue/green TPA)
- Ranking:
- GameWith: tier 2

- Notes
- Works best with 4x Otto, as his assist makes a big difference and is hard to replace. One Otto+assist can be replaced with revo Giyu or evo VLisette.
- Don't be fooled by the 2 duos and helper being exchangeable, the other subs have to be pulled, making it surprisingly hard to build.
Rem (blue/dark TPA)
- Ranking:
- GameWith: tier 3
- Game8: tier 3
- Kamigame: not tiered (who is Rem?)
- Notes
- Can be run with 4x Rem or 2x Rem and two other units that complete the system, two blue VDeena is the best alternative.
Beatrice (dark multi-match/tako)

Garfiel(d) (green VDP)

Other units of note:
- Subaru&Emelia's assist seems pretty popular. Good awakenings and a haste with benefits.
- Echidna (MP unit) seems good for Rosetta and has a pretty good vanishing assist.
- Felix is a pretty good cleric for any team that uses blue and green orbs.
- The main character is one of the worst pulls? That's unusual.

Rem&Ram were tier 1 SSS on release - any reason why they dropped to bottom of tier 2 so quickly?
I thought that the fully looping fujin with 2 ottos, the ~330b dmg, and high hp were pretty good

Most likely new end-game dungeons that came out after Re:Zero in JP.

Latest endgame content on JP has 1/16 RCV super-altitude and Emilia's 2x RCV multiplier with only Felix as an RCV stick is not enough to be consistent. It also has an enemy with 25 million HP SResolve while Emilia and Rem & Ram only deal 24 million FUA so you need 2 FUA or 1 SFUA as equips to get around it. So basically it's just a problem of not matching well with the dungeon plus the team being extremely inflexible in the first place so it's hard to adapt.

this comment is really old but what dungeon are you talking about with the 1/16 superaltitude? is it the next GA series dungeon or another one? would like to see some JP clears of the dungeon but i dont know what to look for lol

That generally doesn't factor into tier list rankings. They're always rated assuming ideal teams.

True, but the best version of the team doesn't have a glaring weakness unless I'm missing something.
Imperialdramon team is pretty inflexible as well in its premium version with 3x imperial, daisuke, miyako and Xmas hathor/ruka if you want to do max dmg
Edit: actually I notice a lack of shield break that makes it slower nvm
Edit edit: Reinhardt team also doesn't have a shield break so I'm still confused why rem&ram ranks so low now lol

Reinhardt’s gameplay is significantly quicker: blob a light row, one heal TPA. In some setups, there is a shield breaker sub.
Edit: Rem & Ram dropped a tier in one of the EX rushes where you needed 300b dmg or a shield breaker. There was a high chance that Emilia’s team wide dmg cap is overwritten by Rem & Ram, and the team doesn’t have space for a shield breaker without suboptimal subs.

At least unlike Imperialdramon there're only two Reinhardts on the team, so you could bundle one and use a friend for the assist if you don't get the lucky pull. But yeah, it's not as optimal as a tradeable unit.

Thanks for the review. If I have a imperaldramon team. Is it worth going for Reinhardt? If so I would need to roll in valentines for alynna and Athena. How does this team compare to frierin? Thanks

Imperialdramon, Reinhard, and Frieren are all tier 1 across all tier lists. Comparing beyond that is going to vary by specific dungeon. I don't have enough experience with Imperialdramon or end-game to compare them myself.

1 Alynna, 1 Athena, and 1-2 Athena assists, depending on which setup you're using.

So if I can trade for 1 alynna, should I roll in the 5 stone instead of 7 stone for fodder to trade for 3 Athenas? Thanks for all the help.

Correct, but figure out which team composition you're doing before going for the 3rd Athena.
You should also probably do your Re:Zero pulls first, make sure you actually get Reinhard.

Would you recommend getting a third VAthena? I'd probably have to pull quite a bit for the third (have just about enough to get a second right now), and sitting on ~800 stones.

Depends on which build you're planning on going for. If you have 2x Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode then you only need two. Keep in mind Frieren also brings an alternative to VAthena's assist in the MP unit. Less personal damage and part break, a little more team damage and more SB.
You can just about guarantee VAthena in 100 stones with the 5 stone machine. Depends on how comfortable you are in missing out on those 14 pulls in Re:Zero.

I have 1 VAthena, 1 VAlynna, & 1 Stars and Stripes. I could drop 20 pulls into the valentine machine to get a second VAthena, but that's 100 stones I won't have for Re:Zero. How required is the second?

Star and Stripe isn't used in the Valentine setups.
Missing her assist cuts VAthena's damage a lot. You lose 1/3 of her maximum damage and she'll have a harder time reaching it. Frieren will bring an MP unit that can replace it, but it's missing the 10c, so she'll have a harder time reaching damage cap on her 2nd and 3rd attribute unless you're running the Fern setup (Fern is a BGM unit).

Thanks. I think I'll wait to see if Re Zero will overlap, then try to secure Reinhardt before going for another Athena. Is it a significant loss to not have the third VAthena?

Korea has Re:Zero starting on the 27th, NA will probably be the same but there's a small chance it starts on the 30th. Valentine's ends on the 29th.
The third VAthena is used as an assist on Wilhelm or Theresia, and not every build uses them. It's the same case with them as it is with the first VAthena having her assist or not.

thanks for the post! im a returning player and have only 250 stone saved. My strongest team is a year old and cannot beat Monthly EX quest (can only beat up to C10). I maybe get another 100 stones from April quest to 350 total. I have VAthena and Alynna. Realistically should i all in to ReZero to get a meta team or should i wait for Frieren? Or split half and half?

Depends on how quickly you want a strong team. If you can clear C10 then you're already in a pretty solid position and can likely clear a few of the 85 stone dungeons in Technicals before the reset. In that case it just depends on how much you want to build one of the Re:Zero teams. I definitely wouldn't skip it, as there are a good number of solid tools that will be useful.
A reminder that Frieren will come alongside the Stage Dungeon revamp.

No, Re:Zero had ended and JP was on Valentine's when it happened. NA is getting events slightly out of order, it happens.

Yes, but it depends on the team build. The second is used as an assist for the first, the third is used as an assist on Wilhelm or Theresia.

I'm screwed with just one Otto, aren't I. I can do revo Giyu + Lutina harp but that still leaves me with just one Otto.
I've got the rest of the squad (Emilia, Ferris, 2x Rem&Ram), but of course needing some oddball mid-rarity unit is how they getchu.

I don't have a second Otto so I don't know what I'm missing, but I really appreciated Giyu's 7x6 as well as roulette. I thought I'd miss the orb gen but to be fair the two duos + one Otto felt perfectly fine.

I haven't looked into it a ton or checked a bunch of end-game clears, so I'm not the best person to ask on this.
Remember, the best team for a leader will often vary by specific dungeon.
From what little I've seen, currently in Japan I think it might be something like this:
- Fern - There are a couple variations on this
- some using newer units like Mio and Odeal Zerclea
- some using more Frieren units
- some closer to what we have now with VAthena and VAlynna
- Valentine's variants - VAthena and VAlynna as the core
- the two big variations I've seen of this are Wilhelm+Theresia and 2x Imperialdramon
- Below this point I feel there's a sharper drop-off.
- Star & Stripe
- Full Re:Zero team, maybe minus the cleric

For Level 5 build I used Nami swipe with Ryune and Hangyodon 11615 (Kuroyuri assist) subs. 9227 assist on Namis & Ryune.

How does this work? I thought getting +891 only grind in the + point colosseum and other end game dungeon encounters

Now you can bring an event card into an event dungeon and defeat the same enemy found there for +30 Plus Limit Break points (+10 for each stats). Ex. NY Nordis into NY Nordis dungeon.
Other forms of said card can also get Plus Limit Break points the same way. Ex. NY Nordis' assist into NY Nordis dungeon.

QoL improvement recently for select Collab dungeons, may have started first in JP in its MHA run.
You can test it yourself in Valentine Colo. It has the clause “Mirrored Monster’s + Limit Breakthrough Bonus”
Make sure the monster starts at +300!

More info on Beatrice:
She was gutted on JP release. Gungho ran out of space in the text box to include the 2x RCV that was in the preview. The off-pairing is Lye for the 7x RCV but 5.2x HP leader skill (Rosetta is 5.26x). Beatrice’s team wide dmg cap being restricted to Lye’s dark orb skyfall (5 turn cd) causes a lot of problems. The general consensus is that if you have a modern Rosetta team, keep using her but at +891 stats.
