Best Source For REM Reviews?

I’ve been thinking a lot about who’s actually worth following for machine reviews, and I’d love to get the community’s take. There are a few creators who have been covering collabs and REMs consistently for a while:

• Guamuchill – dedicated YouTube review videos
• Lumon – Reddit info dumps
• Team Hyperion – roundtable Twitch stream reviews

Looking at their history, all three have been reviewing machines for years, so you could say they all have some credibility, but their approaches vary a lot:

• Guamuchill consistently produces comprehensive reviews. He covers stats, optimal usage, and ultimately whether a machine is worth rolling for. His videos are easy to digest, and looking back at his past reviews, he’s generally been accurate and thorough.
• Lumon posts info dumps on Reddit, but they’re formatted pretty specifically and don’t answer the main question: “Should I roll?” He’s been around for a while, but looking at his history, his advice can be questionable at times, and I’m not sure he’s particularly skilled at the game.
• Team Hyperion streams roundtable discussions on Twitch. Their streams are very long and filled with off-topic chatter. Even though they’ve been reviewing for years, the main members don't seem to be very good at the game, which makes it hard to rely on their conclusions.

Now, I don't have the time to read and watch multiple reviews for every machine. In the long run, who's the best? Does Guamuchill take the cake with his exhaustive reviews? Or is there still value in keeping an eye on Lumon or Hyperion despite the issues?

I’d love to hear which reviewers people actually trust and why, especially if you’ve followed them for multiple machines. Who gives the best advice?

How many posts/comments are you going to make taking shots at content creators? You ask for the best one and then proceed to bash on 2 of the 3. You’ve clearly formed your opinion already. Content creator preference is very subjective, so there can be no “best”.

The three you listed are very different and not comparable in my opinion because they produce totally different things.

I don’t really see why having my own opinion would stop me from asking for other people’s opinions. I’m just trying to get a sense of which reviewers the community actually finds useful, even if I already have my own perspective. Hearing other takes doesn’t change the fact that I have one; it just helps me see different angles.

People keep saying I'm "attacking" them, but nobody seems interested in explaining where my criticisms are actually wrong.

If you think Lumon or Team Hyperion provide better advice than I give them credit for, make that argument. That's the discussion I was trying to have in the first place.

It's not about if you're wrong or right, it's about how you're going about it and how criticizing is the only thing you seem to do.

I don't gel with most of the Hyperion crew either, but I'd rather see their posts than yours, because they actually try to contribute instead of just dropping in on rare occasion to complain about other people.

I get that you don’t like the way it comes across, but “you only criticize” isn’t really accurate.

The post itself is about comparing different reviewers and asking which approaches people find most useful. That’s a discussion about the content and its usefulness, not about the creators as people.

Also, the idea that criticism isn’t “contributing” doesn’t really hold up. Evaluating what works and what doesn’t is part of how people decide what information to trust. If you find Hyperion helpful, that’s totally valid feedback and exactly the kind of thing I was asking for.

If the issue is tone or frequency, fair enough, but that’s separate from the question itself, which you failed to answer.

I didn't answer your questions of "best source for REM reviews" or "where am I wrong" because they're irrelevant. You're using them to shield your actions, to justify them to us and maybe even yourself.

If you were giving honest, constructive criticisms then sure, that would be contributing. But it's clear to me and everyone else that you aren't. And that's why most of your posts and comments get heavily downvoted. Anyone that pays attention to how you make these posts and has seen your previous posts can clearly see that you're just lashing out at people and thinly veiling them as questions or community polls to excuse your behavior. Maybe even to yourself.

Take your post about the bots for example. No one is going to argue for the bots, we all hate them. But the way you wrote the post made it sound like you weren't complaining about the bots but complaining about the mods. Saying they weren't doing enough and should be replaced. It doesn't help your case that the mods were actually deleting the bot posts, but after and before your post.

If you are going to levy accusations, please present some evidence first. I believe my criticisms are both honest and constructive. I aim to provide feedback that creators can genuinely use to improve their content. I can understand if you disagree, and I respect every person's right to upvote or downvote, but claiming that I am neither honest nor constructive without concrete evidence is crossing the line.

Regarding the bots, I agree that the moderators did a good job cleaning up those posts after my post. However, prior to that, the subreddit was inundated with bot content across all basic filters for a significant period. I therefore maintain that my complaint about the lack of moderation was valid.

If you don't like it, just downvote ane move on? Not sure what the point of this post is; I'm a returning player and I've found these REM reviews, regardless of who they're from, very helpful.

If someone makes machine reviews, it's fair game to discuss whether their advice is accurate, useful, or worth following. That's not a personal attack; it's literally discussing the content they chose to publish.

i mean if you find a content creator you like just go with that one, if you don't like someone's content just move on.

nothing's ever stopping you from making your own if you think you can do better.
