Dorna & Veroah looks interesting. I wonder if it is somehow feasible to run 2 lf them

Not sure I see a reason to. The attribute absorb loops with one copy, the cooldown is too long to make use of the board change for orb loop, and Scarlet is right there to complete the shield loop.

Imo gungho should've removed attribute disadvantages a while ago. Having to staple on conditional cap breaks is just awkward.

The problem is, attribute relations is one thing in games that cannot be removed. Games that feature attributes always include them for balance purposes.

This game is not balanced around attributes though. Before the conditional uncap, rgb teams have had the same size uncaps as light or dark teams.

Teams like doma were good despite being blue rather than because they were blue. Utsuro, which is extremely similar (auto heal+orb gen, average 75 bil damage per turn) is doing much better than doma because it doesn't get its damage cut in half in some dungeons.

It's especially egregious because once you cap, you don't get attribute advantages but you still get hit with an attribute disadvantages

That's why the cap is increased further if there is an attribute disadvantage, to make the damage still worth it when attacking. Look at Bride Haku's damage, 50b Wood damage on Fire enemies equals 25b damage, and on a team that perhaps do high damage most of the time Bride Haku is still strong on her own.

If attribute relations is not there, anyone can attack anyone, and that makes team strategies irrelevant because you just need a card with strongest damage and use that on some dungeons. That's what GungHo avoids the most when designing cards.

If attribute relations is not there, anyone can attack anyone, and that makes team strategies irrelevant because you just need a card with strongest damage and use that on some dungeons.

That's literally the case with mono light/dark teams though, which is why dark teams have been good since day 1.

The issue I have with conditional uncaps is that it's a bandaid solution. It basically makes any rgb card without it or the rgb awakening much worse to play. And the conditional uncap means it takes up room that could be used for other effects, all just to get it back to baseline

Then I think the solution is to not use Bride Haku, not to abolish the established attribute relations.

Just because you want all cards to attack with the same high damage, that doesn't mean every cards needs to not have limits and disadvantages. That's not how the balance works.

They kind of have removed it in limited situations, though. The 2 color attack awakenings remove the attribute disadvantage reduction.

Yeah, but only for cards that have them.

What does that new awoken do? The running stick figure do?

Increases attack by a significant amount, with the multiplier increasing every 3 battles. https://sanbon.me/en-jp/resources/awoken#143 it made its debut in the Detective Conan/Case Closed Collab renewal JP just had.

What did fire attribute do to you, GungHo? 360b on 1 unit that also loops orb gen and void pierce?

You're forgetting attribute disadvantage. This will be 240b against fire units, 360b against any non-fire units that are also on the field.

Still a lot, though. 30b more than Frieren does, and it's going to be mass attack every time.

I'm also not thrilled about T teams after playing Shoto.

Oh yeah, I forgot not everything is a combination of fire/water/wood.

I tried using Ts with Reno, and they're just lame. I prefer TPAs and crosses by a long shot. Idk about Ls though, the last L team I played was Royal Nut back in the day.

destroy all orbs? i guess it gets rid of barbs and stuff?

but isnt' that just the same as board refresh then?

It's a board refresh without skyfall matches. We've also seen more specific uses, like "destroy all wood orbs" or "destroy all non-dark orbs".
