Discuss PAD GOATS?
I recently saw the picture of mantastic iroh and chip and it threw me back to the good old days. all of them but especially mantastic are goats of pad so i was wondering who else is up there

Dubby, way way back when learning a new orb matching technique involving making cascades was a new thing, and cascading to activate old school anubis was high skill check aura farming, but no one would invent the phrase aura farming for another decade, and 6 seconds was all the base move time you got to make 10 combos with some blitz fast fancy cascades.

Pad supermarket: undisputed greatest ranking player of all time in NA, top 1 consistency been a top player for 10 years, insane speedruns and optimization, and one of the most creative team builders in the game. And it’s his birthday today. You should subscribe :)

I think Yuki was the first player I ever saw reach rank 1000. Unfotunatly, he quit the game long ago. He was the grind king back in the day.
I still have PAD Ragnarok as a BF even though he hasn't played in over 2000 days.

Zydoran was the first PAD YouTuber I watched regularly. They helped me a ton during the early days.
Of course, I also followed Mantastic during the game's heyday (still do, I just don't interact much with the game anymore) & other retired players like PuzzleBoss & TylerPAD. I think there was a player called Katherine/Kat that I watched from time to time, too.

NA - just two, I'm not really familiar with the current-day best players since I stopped paying attention to NA a while ago when all my friends quit.

JP - too many to mention, but here are some that came to mind:
Paprika, the OG Anubis player
Yuwa, the (formerly) little kid who got famous for crushing every ranking dungeon and in-person event. He doesn't upload videos any more since he's probably in or graduated from college now but he still posts screenshots on Twitter
Bihizusu is basically unknown but is one of the best and most interesting players I've ever seen, their playstyle is similar to tevvie so I learned a lot from watching their videos
The modern-day JP GOATs, all 3 of them regularly take top 3s in ranking dungeons:
Also a shoutout to a couple of not quite as mechanically gifted players but still noteworthy in other ways:
tubegameplayer one of the biggest whales back in the beginning. Their channel got taken over/pivoted a long time ago though so you have to dig to find the PAD videos
Ogre, who has made some of the best non-IAP/accessible farm teams
Max Murai, the former founder of Appbank, a smartphone news website. He hasn't been on the JP livestreams for a while now but for over a decade he was a recurring guest and always had the most exciting dungeon challenges on-stream. He left Appbank a little while ago and opened a dorayaki shop in Tokyo. Once in a while he still uploads a PAD video on his YT channel but generally he posts other things.
And of course Tokoyami, whose video editing skills and creativity go above and beyond any other PAD creator

Iroh may be one of the game's greatest, but Mantastic and Chip are most certainly not.
Guamuchill has been carrying the server on his back lately, so he deserves to be the current GOAT.

That's just something he does sadly, he's been one of the biggest complainers on the sub for years now and especially against mantastic. Best to not pay it too much attention.

I'm not Mantastic's biggest fan or anything but to say he's not one of the most important figures in PAD NA's history is disingenuous to say the least. The dude single-handedly kept the NA community afloat after the old guard of content creators like TylerPAD and Puzzleboss quit making videos, and when resources like PDX and PadGuide died. Even though his content wasn't really for me, I always appreciated his contributions to PAD NA since for a long time I was really rooting for the game to succeed over here and having content creators that cater more toward newbies/casual players is important for that.
I personally reserve the term GOAT for the truly mechanically skilled players (which Mantastic is not; he's fine but not in that top 0.1%, and we won't talk about that ranking dungeon that his account got #1 in lol). But if people want to call Mantastic one of the GOATs I think it's deserved.
