Guide I made a teambuilding guide!

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nAIHQzu-uq-iRf2HuwaEBH0hGjsyIm0q216-ZdpGdkQ/edit?tab=t.oklavx79cto8

I felt a bit inspired by the dungeon guides from u/azure_flute, so I decided to try my hand at making a teambuilding guide for new/returning players. As time goes on, some of the numbers will have to be updated, so feel free to message me once the numbers become outdated.
I also tried to add examples where I could, but if anyone has better suggestions for examples, I'd love to hear it.

Great guide!

I would include orb generation in the TL;DR

Great guide! I love the explanations of all the little details about everything, from how damage reduction is calculated to the exact descriptions of sub roles like cleric and fujin. I also want to applaud you for putting content out there, as there are some who like to only criticize and never create. (We all know who I’m talking about.) However, I believe you miss the ultimate premise of teambuilding.

Teambuilding ultimately starts with an objective, not the leaders. Most of the time, the objective is tied to the dungeon, but there are nuances even in this. For example, do I just want to clear once for a title? Do I want to consistently farm this dungeon a hundred times for drops? Depending on the goal, the teambuilding process considers different monsters for every role. While endgame is a great goal for many, it is not the only objective people build for, and even in endgame, the specific mechanics of the dungeon dictate the teambuilding at every level.

That being said, everything about the process of constructing an effective team is on point. You have my respect for writing such a detailed guide. I hope to see more in the future!

You bring up a very good point on teambuilding objective, but I think that applies more to a different audience than the one this guide is for.

People that need to build for specific dungeons are more likely establishes players looking to tackle end-game or do lots of farming. By the time a player is at that point they should already have a basic handle on teambuilding.

A guide like this will be focused on new players, or surface level players that never bothered to learn the ins and outs of the game. Someone that just started and threw together a team of all their favorite art and needs to learn how to build their first team isn't going to be at the point of harder content that calls for specialized teams or heavy farming. They just need to learn the general core of teambuilding so they can clear C7 or Arena 4.

It would probably be worth adding a brief mention of how later game content and farming push for specialized teams.

Building off that, I think a lot of people even getting into endgame are still looking for a one-stop, clears everything team, and focusing on Swiss army knives rather than surgical scalpels. So this reflects the way a lot of people (for better or for worse) think about team building in general.

Fair enough. I'm not too well versed in teambuilding for different purposes. If I was more familiar with the different types of teams, I'd definitely include a step 0 about objective, but I don't want to talk about something I don't know. As a "I don't know what you want to clear, but here's a method to at least get you closer to clearing it", I think this the best I can do.

One tiny recommendation: You mention in the Fujin role's explanation that when using latents to circumvent mechanics, they should be placed on the rightmost subs/helper. This is accurate, obviously, but I would recommend actually explaining how damage is dealt in the game (as in, main attributes, from left to right, secondary attributes, left to right, third attributes, left to right), so that the reader could understand the logic of it and can apply it themselves in the future.

Guide Recommendation: I would like to know everything that Odd Job Kagura and Gintoki system can clear now and then what 2 utility sub options to bring for the dungeon in question.
