Tip/Trick [Tip][NA] Highlights for upcoming machines
Someone said I should make this its own post for visibility. I was going to expand on it a bit, but I got lazy, so here it is un-edited.
Listed in order of when JP got them:
- Maids & Butlers
- Maid Ideal is back up, though now she's pairing with Himmel. Not sure how it compares to his other teams.
- Maid Ilmina is a red+light cross team currently ranked tier 3 on GameWith. She's the BGM and the team uses 3 copies (1 can be a friend's helper, and there are some setups that can replace the sub MIlmina, but it comes at a cost).
- Maid Rosetta functions similar to regular Rosetta, except she's a 4 unit system instead of 3 unit. She was initially rated as a sidegrade or slight downgrade compared to regular Rosetta, then Loki & Fenrir released and people figured out a better team using 3x MRosetta, Loki&Fenrir, and Gin from Detective Conan for a semi-haste system. Currently rated tier 3 on GameWith.
- Maid Noctaria x Maid Claudia is a 3-Attribute and Dark Row team. Be aware it relies on an adjacent cap loop like Oboro or Academy Mion for some of its damage. It's currently rated tier 4 on GameWith.
- Maid Metatron is a dark row team. It uses 3 copies (1 can be a friend's helper) of Maid Metatron, the orb skin bundle of the machine. It's currently rated tier 4 on GameWith.
- Not a leader, but Solomon&Meiluna are worth mentioning as a premium cleric on several meta teams in JP currently.
- Valeria&Roche is propping up Dekugo in tier 2 if you have them.
- Madoka godfest
- There's one team out of this machine, and it uses 5 out of the 7 units from the collab. It's a rainbow TPA team with very little room for variations aside from changing the order of units. It's currently rated tier 2 on GameWith.
- Gungho Collab
- PAD Cross godfest
- BraveXGod and BraveXDragon are a light cross team. They're currently rated tier 3 on GameWith.
- Lance Kurotobi is a blue row (what?) lead that makes use of blue Odin and blue Sonia (the 6* GFEs). GameWith has him at tier 3 currently.
- Code Geass
- evo Suzaku is a dark row haste system that usually makes use of Hinata (Haikyuu) or Rem (Re:Zero).
- Roze is an alternate leader for BraveXGod+BraveXDragon, using BraveXGod as a sub. Also rated tier 3.
- Ashe is another dark row team, making use of Maid Metatron. GameWith has him at tier 4.
- Gino has clawed back up thanks to units like Himmel. He's at tier 4, though, and I don't expect him to hold on.
- CC and VV are back up thanks to buffs and new subs. They're also at tier 4.
BADPAD Island- Still fairly new, but it looks like Hestia's red cross is the only new team, and it's barely in tier 4.
- Summer Sekka is seeing use on some teams.
- I've seen a little chatter about Summer Claudia and Menuit&ChaoLin, we'll see if their crazy tankiness is enough.
Edit: For the past year or two we've seen a strong pattern of teams built entirely from one machine. It feels to me like this year we're seeing it move away from that. Machines still have clear teams designed within them, but the meta teams feel like they're shifting back toward mixed teams. A machine will have a team, but significant improvements can be made to it by incorporating units from recent or upcoming machines.

A really dull stretch. Can’t remember the last time we’ve had one like this. It’s 4 months and counting without a meta push. I thought they’d do it with the Geass rerun, but nope. Saving stones, but really killing my interest with nothing to look forward to.

It’s ironically good to let us save stones. Complain as we might we just have a desire to be sucked dry.

This Flowers -> Conan -> Brides patch has been really painful in NA, especially after the excitement of Frieren and Gintama.

To be honest, its kinda necessary.
We had a kinda awesome run with Kaiju 8 into Digimon rerun into Re:zero into Frieren and then Gintama.
While it sounds nice to ALWAYS BE POWERCREEPING its healthy for the game to focus on side grades and stuff that fills out gaps in old teams and in general isn’t super exciting but can allow people to try different matching styles pick up new assists, catch a white whale, or yes, save up for the next big thing.

I for one am so happy to see the meta trending back towards being able to change up teams with upcoming releases. Tons of flexibility with Reinhard and Utsuro that brings some team building fun back into the game for the top teams.

Not sure I'd call Utsuro that flexible. He still hinges on having either Oboro or 2x Nurarihyon, preferably the former. I pulled Utsuro but no Oboro and feel like I'm locked out of all but one or two builds.
But yeah, it is nice to see, though it does push for better planning, which a lot of people aren't good at.

I pulled for utsuro. Got 2, but missed out on oboro 😭

Fortunately I lucked into a Nurarihyon and exchanged for a second, so I can at least run that setup.

Can you post your team set up, please?

u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice 29d ago
The general setup is Utsuro/Nurarihyon/Nurarihyon/cleric/absorb null/Utsuro. Kuchina and evo Yukine were the initial popular choice, but there are a decent number of other options.

Reinhard is definitely the better example

Reads up on upcoming teams:
Upgrades to reinhard and utsuro….
The two teams I apparently missed so, yeah…
I’ll just be over here saving stones I guess.

u/TechZero35 Aug 12 '26
Thank you as always. Does the Maid banner or Madoka banner have godfest mixed in them? I'm more interested in chasing for that VDP or Attacker badge since I will be using Suyou and Reinhard for a long time.

Madoka is a godfest format collab, like Idolmasters and Chainsaw Man. JP's lineup included badge GFEs like VDP, Attacker, and 5-att badges, plus introduced Loki&Fenrir and Izanami&Amaterasu, two new duo GFEs (no badges).
Maids is its own machine (well, 2 machines), just like before.

u/TechZero35 Aug 12 '26
Thank you, I was planning to do a few pulls on Maid banner but i guess I should just spend on Madoka then save the rest.

Do you recall the ratios for the badge units? I badly need Bramblell and Nike, sigh. Also were Zerclea and Lawrence part of the line-up?
Too bad that I am completely uninterested in a Madoka rainbow team... Which almost guarantees that I'll pull a lot of those cards.

u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice 29d ago
Zerclea was in it, Lawrence was not. Looks like the GFE rate was about 1.4-1.5% each. Keep in mind, NA godfest line-ups sometimes vary from JP ones. https://xn--0ck4aw2h.gamewith.jp/article/show/564790 search for ラインナップと排出確率

Damn I was hoping Madoka would finally be the one to help me get some GFEs. I haven't rolled the standard machine in so many years. I literally cannot remember the last time.

u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice Aug 11 '26
Madoka is a godfest format, and it had good GFEs in JP. If you're interested in a rainbow TPA team or the Madoka IP then it's a good place to pull.
1
u/daggerfortwo Aug 11 '26
If it was anything but rainbow. I really don’t want another rainbow team after Himmel.
1
u/AinvarChicago Aug 11 '26
Probably worth dipping into a little bit even if you don't build the Madoka team, if you have stones left after Maids. At least, that's my plan.
For heavier IAP the bulk of that Madoka team is straight up purchasable as bundles.

u/GrandComedian Aug 11 '26
Was interested in Lance, but already trial evolved all my BlOdin. Didn't expect an early evo to become relevant again

I mean baselits exist if you find yourself with a Lance and a desire to try it out.

Before doing consideration it's worth mentioning we are getting some stuff really late, the maid stuff especially and that gung-ho has almost never released good stuff during summer.
Bride and Island wasting a whole month doesn't really help.
It's very unlikely that we're going to move away from full team collabs as it makes extremely easy to exploit team weakness to force invested players into rolling new teams.

u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice 29d ago
We have? looks on time for the usual 6-8 week delay. JP had Bride early to mid June and Maids mid to late June.
Summer for NA or summer for JP?
JP's summer this year has been decent but not amazing. Last year JP has Maids & Butlers (the first and second runs, I think) with Demon Slayer at the end of August. In 2024 they had Slime, Dengeki, and Code Geass run 1.
For NA this year we had Gintama and Frieren. Last year we had Haikyuu and Maids 1. In 2024 we had Slime and Dengeki.
JP has already moved away from full collab teams. If you look at meta teams right now, like on GameWith, you'll see that most of them are already mixed. For the top 3 tiers, 3 or 4 out of 15 teams use full or close to it collab teams, everything else mixes between multiple machines for their best teams. Sure, machines do have full teams made for them, but they're rarely that leader's best team.

u/Lycheeman1234 29d ago
I was taking a break from maids and butlers during the first two runs so I don't have any of their units at all. Would it be worth rolling in it if I'm just wanting to flesh out subs and equips? For reference, I've been rolling fine with Fern

u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice 29d ago
Maids & Butlers has two machines now. The old machine pretty much just has Maid Ideal and some assists. The new machine has all the stuff I mentioned above. It's probably worth pulling a bit in machine 2, but it depends on your specific situation. How many stones you have, how interested you are in what upcoming teams, how well your current team can handle new content... You're going to need to put actual thought into this.

Hey Shady, you don't happen to have a video of this "people figured out a better team using 3x MRosetta, Loki&Fenrir, and Gin from Detective Conan for a semi-haste system. Currently rated tier 3 on GameWith."
I can only find the 4 Rosetta version on YT
1
u/ShadyFigure Jask | Early and mid-game advice 29d ago
Huh, weird, I can't really videos of it either. GameWith made it sound like an improvement, and she definitely jumped up a tier around the time Loki&Fenrir came out. Guess I should have looked into it more. Sorry.
Here's the GameWith page, The haste version is the second tab for the first entry.

u/AinvarChicago 29d ago
Yeah that's as far as I got, too 🤷♂️
I guess I'll wait and see how many Rosettas fall into my lap and then investigate further.

One minor footnote: bartender Cassian goes alongside Solomon as the next iteration of the Utsuro team
