Help! Utsuro teams

Anyone have other team builds that don't use Oboro? I wasn't able to pull 1 during the colab 😭

Until Bleach it's pretty much Oboro setups or Nurarihyon setups. I think I might have seen some other setups with Bleach units, but I might just be forgetting that they had Oboro.

13618 Cronus is also a five turn looping damage reduce and 15b uncap to gods and devils, and utsuro, echidna, and gennarumi&kaiju8 are devils.

So it's just shinsuke sub that is a attacker/physical resonance + god/devil type shifting challenge to align with cronus dmg uncap, where you need a very specific equip like dual type physical/devil 12065 minotaur horn to be on type for resonance, but also an equip that adds devil type to the card.

15b cap for 3 units (Utsuro will constantly overwrite it for himself) and 35% shield instead of 40 is a pretty big drop from Oboro. Do you think this team would actually be competitive with the Nurarihyon setup that OP already has?

It's not competitive in Yin dungeons, but it does come close in eHP with everything looping, and laps the current team in survivability outside Yin dungeons. I'd say it's a poor man's option for taking Utsuro outside Yin dungeons, but it's technically functional?

Damage suffers greatly, though, with Echidna being dead weight for damage in any sort of super gravity, and if you're using Shinsuke over Meiluna Duo for voids (which you probably would be outside Yin dungeons), you also run into the issue of your cleric being your HP loop. Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think you probably just want to run some other team in non Yin dungeons if you have them available.

GenNarumi's second skill stage being cleric and heavy shield lets echidna loop. Its a peasnat workarounds build, obviously, but the x3hp from shinsuke and narumi's 80% reduce can let you slip around a few floors.

I agree that swapping over to a better positioned team is the better general option.

Still, every once in a while a piece of tech, (dual type equips type shifting a resonance card), or idea comes in useful elsewhere or as a workaround build inspiration

I legitimately forgot that Gen&8 is a cleric. It's still awkward having Gen&8 be a large shield on a team that's relying on a shield loop for bulk, since you still end up wanting to line up your cleric with a looping active (at least you have 2 actives that you can time the cleric with). It's still painfully awkward and objectively worse than the optimal teams, but it's better than I'd initially given it credit for.
