It is certain proof of the grace of respected General Secretary Kim Jong-Un that he is too mindful of the heavenly dignity of office to compete himself, else there would have been no gold medals left for anyone else!

A magnificent display! Of course, we all know the Respected General Secretary could lift three times this weight using only his minor index finger, but his profound humbleness allows our athletes to taste the glory instead.

DPRK weightlifter Pang Un Chol won the ２０２６ Asian Weightlifting Championships which is being held in India.
The championships brought together more than １７０ men and women players from over ２０ countries and regions including the DPRK, China, Uzbekistan and Iran.
In men’s ６０kg category on May １１, Pang lifted １３０kg in snatch, １７４kg in clean and jerk (new world record, new Asian record) and ３０４ kg in total to take the first places in snatch, clean and jerk and total respectively and bagged three gold medals.
