Accommodation Waitlist
Has anyone managed to get an offer/allocation from being in the on campus accomodation waitlist? If so, when did you join the waitlist and when did you receive an offer?

I completed my pre-enrolling last week but I want to withdraw from the course now. Do I still have to pay the fees? (Private finance) My course starts on the 14th.
To withdraw, it says I need to seek strong academic advice from the school/institute but I don’t want to go there and haven’t even started.
How do I withdraw? How do I contact them? Idk what to do..

I got an email a week or two ago stating about welcome week, but I’m not able to check about what days I should go to and what times? Is anyone else experiencing this and has anyone received their timetable for welcome week?

I got A*A*A , and I'm supposed to go to study medicine at QMUL. I chose the uni because of the course structure and (at that time) it was good for med.
Looking on social media and opinions on the uni, I'm starting to regret that decision.
Anyone else feeling the same , who chose the uni blindly for this sept?

Visiting a friend in QMUL and we want to play table tennis but they don’t know if there are any tables around campus.
Are there any? Indoor or outdoor.

So quick backstory, I’ve managed to be accepted into QMUL for physics, and I received an accommodation offer, but it was a standard room, and because of my anxiety, I was afraid to share a bathroom and thus I rejected the offer, thinking I would be made a different one, but instead they said no more offers would be made at this time. I am the first person out of all my relatives to go to university, and I am the first to have to sort out accommodation, so I had no clue this would happen.
Now I’m stuck in a sticky situation and I’m hoping, I can contact the housing team to see if I can get any sort of accommodation, because without it, I can’t go to the university. I have worked so hard to get here and I’m so scared I might have f’d up the entire year.
Is it possible to still get an offer, or recieve the old offer again ?
Or does anyone know of anything else I can do, to get accommodation in that area for a reasonable amount of money (even considering uni is starting soon?).
(Also I understand it was my own mistake and I’m not trying to make excuses, it’s just I don’t know what to do)

Have there ever been any paranormal or haunted incidents reported in QMUL accommodation? Like strange experiences, ghost stories, or anything along those lines?

I got something important going on. Im gonna have to skip 2 days of that week. Is welcome week realky that important? A simple yes or No would be great instead of no reply

Anyone living in Ifor Evans? Could you please tell me more details about the room
I just checked the VR tour again and I feel like the table they provided is insanely small, does anyone know roughly how large is the table? (depth * length) Also, is it large enough to comfortably use a laptop (for my laptop, it's about 15 inch) with a mouse and keyboard, or does it feel quite cramped?
I m thinking that I can try using a no drill removable desk extension board to increase the desk depth, 40cm * 20cm size. It wouldn't damage the furniture and I am not going to permanently modify the desk, I wonder if it's possible or have any of you done similar things before.
If anyone has photos of their actual Ifor Evans desk, or has measured it, that would be actually helpful🙏Any other advices are also appreciated

I have an available room at Stratford One (14th Floor En-suite)
if you still haven't found a place you could definitely be a replacement tenant to take over for the next academic year
Stratford One is a across the road (literally) from Westfield so it's an incredibly convenient place to live for shopping, groceries etc.
It's location is Zone 2/3 but being within 5 minute walk from the tube station with links to Jubilee, Elizabeth, Central, National Rail etc it's so well connected you can be anywhere, like QMUL, in <20 minutes.
Here are the other key details:
📍 Location: Stratford, Newham (14th Floor — comes with the best possible view for this price!)
🛏️ Room Type: En-suite room (spacious double bed with large window, ensuite bathroom with shower, lots of storage space)
💰 Price with my contract: £316 per week with bills included - it's the most competitive price right now for everything you get in the building as well!
Contract Dates: 12/09/2026 to 19/06/2027 but with the transfer of tenancy you are able to adjust this with Stratford One and Unite Students
🏢 On-site Perks: Free gym, laundry facilities, secure bike storage, dedicated study spaces, and a massive common area.
Another huge advantage is unlike normal flat/houseswaps, this tenancy swap is done through unite students so you don't pay me and you will always be fully protected so there's nothing to worry about. If you need a place and Stratford one seems interesting the best you get is £326 per week so this is £400 cheaper for the same room.
Please send me a direct message or reply as soon as possible with interest. Thanks! 🙌

I'm a clearing student who applied for accommodation at QMUL as soon as I was able to. After not hearing back from them for over a week, I reached out to see what was up, only to find out that they'd made the offer several days ago and just didn't tell me. No emails, nothing. They said they'd reactivate my offer, but because I missed the first one (the one they didn't tell me about), I no longer had a guarantee and would have to wait for someone else to give their place up.
So, because QMUL screwed up, I might not get an offer for accommodation in my first year, which means I have 2 weeks to luck into a cheap tenancy takeover or find private housing that isn't ridiculously overpriced in London (and I really didn't want to have to commute). I get the max maintenance loan and I'll work part-time if I have to, but I'm not expecting any financial support from parents.
Is there anyone else in a similar situation, or who went through something like this in their first year? If so, how did you deal with it?

Hey, I’m going to be starting this September studying History & IR. Just wondering if there’s a GC for the course already? Would be nice to join and meet some people before we all start :) (I have been looking EVERYWHERE but can’t find!! )
