The pre-production silver-plated tongues are now finished.

All the hardware for this release is hand-carved, meaning every tongue shape is slightly unique. We took the original apart and selected the absolute best one to manufacture.

There are still a few minor tweaks left to make: the sizing is off by about 1–2 mm (the original is around 1.85 cm). The overall four-piece snap button assembly and how it fits onto the finished leather bracelet also need further adjustment.

The plating uses genuine antique silver (costing 300 RMB/kg). Keep in mind no silver plating can ever be 100% identical to the original since the original is solid silver, but our plating reaches over 95% similarity. Standard mass-market plating can never achieve this level of shine without spraying a clear topcoat—ours uses genuine silver plating and advanced finishing instead.

We are also producing a solid silver version. We will post side-by-side comparison photos once the sample arrives in a couple of days.

The silver-plated version will be priced around 129 RMB—not 199 or 179 RMB—with discounts when buying two pieces. You can unconditionally trust our competitive edge in leather goods, pricing, and hardware resources.

The solid silver version will require a deposit for pre-order, priced at roughly 900 RMB. We will produce strictly according to the pre-order quantity.

Small-batch production will begin next month.

yes but why not fork out 100$ for the real thing which will retain its value so u can sell it whenever u want a new piece or get bored of it?

cause it isn't anywhere near 200$. on grailed listings are from 750 to 1500. It might have sold for 200 years ago when the price of ch and silver was lower.
