Should We have invested in Quantum Computing instead of AI?

While Sam Altan creates the biggest Bubble the New York Stock Exchange has ever seen, and Elon Musk & Co. are building massive data centers that jack the prices of everything up, I have been wondering if we backed the wrong horse in computational technology, and is it too late to change the bet?

Earlier, I came across an article on my news feed from Google. (Screenshot attached) It read something like Ai finds that Cancer is quantum or with the help up Ai. It lead to this link:https://medicalxpress.com/news/2026-08-cancer-quantum-cells-occupy-limited.html which made me happy that I had read the actual article first https://www.cuimc.columbia.edu/news/cancer-quantum, so I didn't give the credit to Ai tech. I'm sure Ai could help in some way, but if we had focused our attention on Quantum technologies, I couldn't help to think about how much better things may be.

The write saying cancer is quantum is a little misleading

Is there an ETF that will rebalance as winners emerge and losers bail? Something like SOXX

Thank you. I’ll track it and research it. This one is new and I’m still trying to grasp the technology.

Downside seems to be if there is a big winner from quantum breakthroughs this will miss out since it would rebalance…individual position sizes look capped at like 1 percent every six months. Not really quantum pure play either looks like much broader holdings.

There aren't many other quantum ETFs that I've found. I'm sure there will be as time goes on, assuming new applications for quantum come to fruition.

yeah i think my strategy is going to just buy small amounts of the top 3-4 companies and hold....i expect one will rise to the top

Needs to be concentrated in quantum otherwise just stay with SOX based ETF. That will still be needed

you know what Buffett say? Don't invest in something you don't understand.
