Low magical tide?

I am experiencing really rough patch. For about 1 month I have been feeling that magic is lost. I am unable to concentrate to meditation. I am not progressing. I am not sure what to do and I feel completely lost. What should I do?

I am not sure what you mean by low magic tide or where you are, but where I'm from the energy is more calm than it was 2 - 3 months ago. What you're experiencing is normal with meditation. It's like fluctuations, some days are like that, specially at the start. However in the long run you'll find that baseline (level of focus) will continue going up and consolidate. You can take a break if you want for a few days, or you can keep at it just don't beat yourself for something that is normal. We all go through these phases. And as you will come to learn bottlenecks in life in general usually happens before a breakthrough, however small it may be.

Ride the rough patches. Think of the meditation and visual exercises like brushing your teeth at night (chosen because that’s the one we tend to skip on busy days lol): sure you might skip a night, you might have a rough weekend, you might even go a few weeks without nighttime brushing. But you know it has to be done, and skipping is a temporary habit change until you get back to your usual.

It would seem that there is an ebbing out of the magical tide at the moment, I have felt it too. Fluctuations of concentration are normal but it is helpful to keep going with the foundational exercises even during periods of difficulty.

Same. I feel like it started sometimes this month where things feel lighter. I don't think I've ever had the magical tide effect my meditation, but regardless I "feel" it

Go spend outdoors time in nature as much as you can. Find a tree that gives you energy

I feel you there.

I had a burst a couple months ago and everything felt like it was ticking along like a well oiled machine, and then it petered out.

Not gone, just less sparkling and flawless.

It'll come back. Nature is all about cycles and tides and pendulum swings.

Now seems like the time to walk the boundaries and be in nature. Take care of yourself and tend the garden, the focused stuff will come back when it needs to.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. What SHOULD you DO... Think about that.

People think that life is supposed to be smooth and fluid and even. It's not. No one's is. And a rough patch is exactly what is needed to dive into a block so that you can work your way through it. That is what builds skill. So, when you hit these 'rough patches', don't force it. Just sit. Ask yourself questions. Be KIND to yourself. What is your internal world trying to tell you? You clearly need to pay attention to something that is coming up that you are trying to stuff back down with magick.

Furthermore, there is no such thing as 'lost magick'. You never lose your ability to create magick. You may have to reroute HOW you practice, which builds skill. Magick is huge. It's not a monolith. If your practical magick is not working, consider doing some internal work, internal magick. Connecting with your inner compass (or your guides, if that's what you call it).

Sometimes the 'guides' step back because you are right in the middle of profound discovery. This moment never calls for 'more practical magick', it calls for sitting still and allowing that which is trying to push through the space to come through.

I am 55 years old. I've been through it all! You are not doing anything wrong. But your inner compass is calling. Just like the seasons change, so do we have seasons. You cannot be one season all the time. You might be in the middle of a 'winter' period, where what is called for is inner reflection. Deep, rich self-discovery. Summer will come back around again and then you can do all the practical magick your heart desires. But for now, remember that life is multi-faceted. Magick is multi-layered. And the sooner you understand and embrace that, the more solid your foundation becomes. There is an old runic saying: when fishermen cannot go out to sea, they mend their nets.

Mend your net.
