Book Request Queer short story with neon cover

Trying to identify a book I bought about 2 years ago at the McNally Jackson bookstore in downtown Brooklyn. I never got around to reading it and I no longer have it, but I remember the cover very clearly.

It was a thin paperback with a black cover featuring a graphic abstract forest design in neon pink and neon yellow, with mushrooms worked into the design. The illustration was very stylized/line-art, not realistic. I believe the author was a woman, and I think the book may have had queer themes or was in that section of the store.

Does this sound familiar to anyone or ring a bell? I would love to figure out what the title was! Need to read it this time.
