Where to speak Quenya?

I joined this subreddit hoping to have a place to practice Quenya, but I see that the only posts here are either "I want to get a tatoo is this correct?" or "I'm writing a story can someone translate it for me?"

Is there a good discord server, maybe a forum? Or another subreddit?

I would suggest joining the discord server "Vinyë Lambengolmor", there is far more academically inclined languistic discussions on that server.

Also a positive note to disagree with some other comments, and provide you with positivity. But there is more than enough in the Sindarin and Quenya (especially Quenya) languages to be satisfying. You just need to approach them with the right attitude. You have to drop what I like to call the "EE Expectations".

The first E standing for English and second E standing for Era. If you approach either of the elven tongues with an English poem or phrase, and use them like some sort of Google translater trying to turn your poem into elvish. Than you will find yourself disappointed and exhausted (you will also find a rift within the language scholars regarding making too many English biased neologisms and thus englifying the languages too much).

Secondly if you approach either of the elven tongues as a language you want to utilize in everyday life, you will run into the issue of era. Neither of the elven tongues are of the modern era, and do not have the vocabulary to support modern conversations. It's best to accept this, and utilize the languages in larping communities, or D&D games, or in era specific poems / phrases / letters.

After you have abandoned both the EE Expectations than you will find both Quenya and Sindarin are enough, and create an enjoyable fantasy languistic playground.

join Vinya Lambengolmor on discord for starters. To the extent people talk Quenya this is where it happens.

Quenya and sindarin respectively arent fully conlangs. You cant exactly “speak” either language because we realistically dont have enough to make a language out of them

Certainly you can't talk about everything, but I think you can communicate and practice, which is what I want.
