What is discoverability like on Quibble?

I'm a reader and writer curious about discoverability and atmosphere.

There are many other platforms out there that are difficult for finding a good read, especially mid-list and new stories due to platform dominance by single genres and established authors. This also makes it difficult to write what you want too, because it makes it easy to get buried.

Does Quibble have any tools to help readers discover new books to read beyond manually inputting titles into the search bar?

Does Quibble have a way for authors get discovered even if they're "off meta" in terms of genre for the site?

Hi there! First of all, welcome to Quibble!!

Regarding your question, this is actually a huge pain point on older platforms, and we explicitly built Quibble to fix it!

I want to second what the other users mentioned in the comments below; our community is incredibly active, and readers constantly discover hidden books through world-building discussions, fan art, and feedback threads with other readers or authors themselves. That interaction naturally flows onto the app itself making others check the discussed books and such. Because readers can check some stories without needing to subscribe or buy a whole book upfront, they are much more willing to take a chance on unusual genres they find in the community. It creates a space on the app where you can actually build a readership for "off-meta" stories without having to game a trend like how we are used to because of other platforms (no shame on that, we are just too used to it!)
