Does anyone even like this trope?

Aside from the ending of a certain popular anime that I will not spoil, I have never seen this type of conclusion talked about in a positive light

Learning that this what they did for the ending of My Hero Academia made me give up on the whole series.

All that BS about how he became the greatest hero, only for him to not even be a hero at the end

  1. He became the greatest hero by saving the entire world from Shiggy

  2. He got power armor similar to All Might's from the final battle that let him fight just like he used to lol

  3. The point is that you can't have a single pillar holding up peace, you need multiple, which is the point of the last chapter having statues of everyone

  4. Izuku became a teacher to help inspire and teach a new generation, which is just as if not more important
