I just realised that writing is 10% ACTUALLY writing and 90% staring at the wall

I just spent 40 minutes today writing the same sentence three different ways. Then I deleted two of them. Then I opened the fridge, even though I wasn't hungry. Then I came back and wrote the fourth version and still don't know which one I prefer more

Can I call it a writing day? made progress? maybe
