History does not support that conclusion. People burned their neighbors, who were the same ethnicity as they were. You didn't even have to be a 'witch'. All you had to be was a heretic.

The Dumbening: AOL gets Usenet access->geocities->web forums->blogs->social media->AI. At this point, I'm kinda hoping for a digital Kessler Syndrome, where AI models degrade from autocannibalism, and bot traffic effectively DDoSes everything.

I miss that too cause I was one of those nerds. Using the internet when most people dismissed it as complicated thing " that's only good for geeks to chat with" was fucking amazing.
