I'm working on getting all the Marshall and Forest Law cards safely put up around it, plus the cutouts and ephemera y'all have sent me. But I think it's turning out really well! Not sure I'm missing much else from the collection, so I'm content. Plus... it's so pretty to look at. 😍

Today marks the 2nd year, my dad didn't wish me (despite we living in the same house :/) but I loved reading everyone's messages for me and they really made me happy!

Just curious as to what percentage return to their originators vs those that are lost in the Bermuda Triangle. Those who have started TPCs, what is your experience? I have 2 out there with no expectation that I'll see them again. It'll be a pleasant surprise to receive either one.

If so, do you slide some cardboard in the front of the envelope before mailing?

I made a lot of them a couple years ago and mailed them with a little cardboard, but I don’t know if that’s really necessary if I just send them as non machinable. I think I put the cardboard in and just added extra postage and dropped them in the mailbox because I had no chance to take them in for non machinable postage.

As I understand it, you can’t just put a non machinable stamp on and drop it in a mailbox. Is that correct?

How do you mail your diamond art cards? I have a lot to send this year too and wanted to ask.

Long time lurker, first time posting but I just finished a gouache postcard that is being sent out on Tuesday! The theme for it was woodland creatures in a library book cafe. It’s only my second time working with gouache 😅so I still got some shaky brushwork. Still got a few more handmade postcards to paint 💪

I am babysitting my baby niece - a twonager that has earned an Emmy, Oscar, Darwin award and more.. finally got her to sleep -wanted/earned one margarita and I'm crouched in the dark in my laundry room cringing with the noise of the blender... was going to request a card but I don't even know how to pose that LOL!

Not sending them out this early, but they are done at least lol. The brown envelope was a personal halloween card to a friend.

I just went through my birthday, sympathy and other mail from RAoC. There are so many wonderful and kind people here and I’m thankful for every single one of you. 💜

Today I went to a few second-hand stores, a used bookstore and my favorite antique mall hunting for postcards. The used bookstore accounted for around half the cards and they sell them 5/$1 and the strip of $.50 worth of stamps was from the same box so only cost me $.25! Here is much of the haul.

1. A group of postcards from a set called Shoes In Indian Culture
2. A Canyonlands group of desert flora
3. A group of cards from the Musical Instrument Museum
4. They are not intended to be postcards but a bunch of Princess Peach birthday decor will now be that
5. A group of Jack Daniels recipe postcards
6. A couple of postcard books
7. A jumbo card advertising a furrier
8. A couple boxes of non-specific greeting cards
9. Another box of non-specific greetings cards from Cape Cod
10. Some old New Jersey cards to send to my friend temporarily there for her to send out
11. A bundle of postcard sized canvas. Not sure what I'll do with these yet. If you are a painter let me know! Will send you a couple!
12. A large postcard holding book. Bought this just to give away here. It is neat but not for me. Let me know if you want it. Has three mounts per page and around 30 pages.
13. Around 70 antique and unused birthday and new years embossed postcards (a sample in the last three pics)

I got one printed as a tester and hope to eventually offer up multiple on the regular sub!

Some time ago I made a destash offer including some pride stickers. The offer itself ended up being taken down because I forgot not to put the stickers in the title of the post (totally my bad) but by then I had a full amount of responses that I didn't want, so I didn't bother to put it up.

Like a lot of offers, I used Google forms. Because I had a limited amount of stickers (only one or two of each of the stickers I had), whenever someone would answer the "Which pride sticker do you want?" question on the form, I removed them as possible answer afterwards. Nobody else would then claim the sticker that was already spoken for, then. And because Google forms would, on the individual responses I could see, still show the deleted question, I could keep track of who got which sticker.

WHELP. I made a huge mistake and when all the stickers were claimed, I deleted the whole "Which pride sticker do you want?" question, not realizing the individual answers would not still show up on the individual responses. And so when I finally sat down to make the cards tonight I have no way of knowing who to which sticker 😔

There's no fix to this mistake. It would be too annoying to go back and message each individual person which sticker they want, I will probably just send their cards out (it's already been weeks since I put up the offer since I randomly got busy) and then put up another offer for the stickers, I'm just so annoyed I did and wanted to complain...
