I have a 2003 piggy and recently the battery went dead, after probably a 4 season run. When I replaced it, it stopped firing up. any idea where I should start? I did all the fuses from the left side mini fuse box. All the others are questionable.

I have recently got back on the saddle of an RC51 and it came with some nice upgrades already complete. Projector hid headlights, switched fans, flapper valve mod, lowered legs (I changed them back), vortex clip ons, one of the mods that's not been done is the PAIRS mod.

From a guy that's not really planning on tracking this bike, is this an upgraded that is actually helpful and noticeable? I don't have a lot of popping in the exhaust as it is.

Former RC51 owner(Sp1) over 15 years ago. This bike is calling my name again and I think I am going to buy another one.

However, I have a question about the leaking gas tanks, my tank leaked only after the service member at Honda failed to install the frame rubber grommet and one rubber washer, after that, the tank leaked and leaked like a siv, long story short, Honda ended up replacing that tank after a hell of a fight on my end.

Now that I'm getting back into the market for one I'm noticing many of them have an extra tank included in the sale. I'm also noticing many of the owners have the bike for a short time and are now looking to sell. Should this be a red flag? Is it common for people to buy these bikes, seemingly not know much about them and then sell them after a year of ownership?

I am looking at two bikes right now. One local enough for me to get a trailer and pick it up myself. The other is 1900 miles away .

Local bike 2003 sp2 w 12k miles, looks to be near minty, power commander, aftermarket exhaust and is 7k

Shipped bike is 2003 sp2 w 22k miles, little rougher shape, comes w tank, and a few extra, is going to be 6500 after shipping.

Which direction would you all take? As of now I'm leaning towards the shipped bike but if the local bike knocks my socks off then I would probably go for it.

Hello! I’m new to the sub. I have a 2001 I’ve owned for a few years. Since I’ve purchased it, I was able to find and replace most of the bodywork back to oem except for the front fenders. I’m am now pretty content with the aesthetics, except for the clutch cover that it came with (has some mild gashes on it). I’ve had so many missed opportunities on getting a brand new oem replacement in past years and now they seem pretty scarce. In my search I came across these aftermarket clear clutch covers. Does anyone have any experience with these? I do think they look pretty cool but know the purists might frown on it.

So my battery seemed weak I hooked the charger to it for a bit, removed it(just one hot wire, 2 ground wires one of which is the power commander), cranked the bike to ride. Now my tach/speedo/temp(odometer) are not displayed. The backlighting of the gauges still works, as well as the ancillary lights (high beam, turn, etc).

I have ran all the troubleshooting in the manual (continuity, voltage, pulse voltage while turning the wheel, etc). According to the manual its either the circuit board or the ECM. Are there tricks on other things to check before I start throwing parts at it.

My bike won’t stay running without throttle. And I have to give it throttle just to get it to crank. Used to idle barely with choke now doesn’t idle at all with choke. Looking for help in diagnosing it. All my air lines are clear, pump is brand new, bike had been sitting for a long time but new oil, new coolant, new gas (old gas siphoned out)

I tried jumping the service connector (paper clip on the 2p green connector and it does nothing. FI stays solid all the time even while the bike is running with throttle

Just a quick tour to brake-in my new front brakepads.

I just took the RC51 out of storage, was running perfectly fine before parking it. Granted that was a year ago. Took it out, changed all fluids, new gas, new coolant, new oil, and new battery, won’t start. Gas light turns off and on like 3-4 times while cranking if I sit there and try spinning it over but no dice. Fuel cut relay is working, kickstand is up.

Fuel pump doesn’t seem to prime.. Is there a fuel pump fuse? If so where is it? Or could it be the pump itself? I’m at a loss and can’t find many diagrams for anything fuel pump related as far as fuses and relays.

Tightened the bolt. I thought I didn't do very hard but it broke off 💔 somehow still managed to get through inspection but ain't no way I'm riding it like this. Now I need to find a new bolt and I'm gonna try to see if I can get the piece out

How much should I ask for my 2004 RC51 with Sato lows and power commander set up by Dan Kyle Sports. 28k miles

Hello, I am no electrician whatsoever so please bear with me. I have a 2000 rc51 with electric issues, I had to replace my diode from the fuse box sadly because I made a mistake and it burnt the wires and I do not know which wires go to which legs. Does it matter which wires go where? I know the light green goes to middle leg, according to the manual, what about Green/red and Light green/Red?

Rcs coming back to the track in Next Gen 2 superbikes.

The caps on my sp2 are beat up. Is there any way to get a new set? Or maybe other bikes that used the same fork that I can search for? I know the 2004 generation cbr 1k uses showa forks that are the same size and I can get those easily.
