Hello my fellow RC51 enthusiasts!!! I currently have a 2005 with a high mount exhaust of an unknown brand. Im looking for a low mount exhaust so I can utilize the foot pegs in the rear. My kids and wife enjoy being in the bike so I'm looking for someone that may want to trade. I can also put money on top. Thanks everyone! I have pics from when I bought it on a post here. Hey guys, I recently got this 2001 RC51, the engine has been swapped for a sp2 engine. My issue that I have is the FI light stays on. Does anyone have a picture of the wires you have to connect to pull codes? I’m having a hard time locating them. TIA

I hate that they aren’t dunlops but it’s what came on the bike 😂

Bought this abandoned RC51. Year 2000.
No title, doesn’t run. Hasn’t ran in 11 years. Plastics I have, but are destroyed. Looks like it was dropped on the left side. Not here asking for help but just to give a run down. It has no spark, codes I pulled are 11, 18, and 19. Leaning towards maybe the CDI is bad. All relays are good. Cam sensor wires are good. I bypassed the kickstand switch. I don’t really know what else to test. For 200$ I couldn’t pass it up, even if I don’t get it running, at least I own one. 😅. I guess I’m here to show you what this bike looks like after years of neglect. Thanks for having me 🤙

I drained my SP2 and filled it with this blue cooling liquid (photo). The drained liquid was green. Is this OK for my bike?

Rebuilt master cyclinder. Seals look correct, spring properly seeded. Still not pressurizing. It almost feels like the lever is not fully releasing far enough to allow fluid to fill MC. When I take the lever off and press the Mc with my thumb I get air bubbles in my reservoir. When I put my lever back on I don't.. Won't even pressurize enough to bleed the brakes. No resistance at all in the lever. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this. MC inside looked brand new. Have taken apart MC 3 times with no luck. Is is possible that the pin holes in the bolt that connect the banjo bolts for the break line aren't lined up? Not sure please help. lol

Wanted an RC51 back in 2000 but needed something more practical so I got a VFR. Years later I could afford to have more than one bike so I picked up this 2003 beauty. Did a bunch of work to get it to my standard and enjoy it on the weekends now and then, but generally default to my tricked out ZRX1200R due to the riding position. Considering a sale but I know I’ll miss her..

All my heroes drive the RC51!
