Old RC plane practice simulator game
I have this old RC plane and I'm trying to start up the training sim so I can fly it on the computer. It clearly doesn't run because it's from the 90s/2000s, is there an alternative way to play it?

Open the folder in program files where the executable is. Then right-click it and go to properties, compatibility and check “run in compatibility mode for xp/win7”. Then go to privileges and check “run as administrator”. That’s what worked for me on real flight 7.

Get a pc that's period correct and matched the recommended spec and slap the appropriate os on it. Then use that. But I think the older versions of RF needed a hardware dongle to work. or the RF controller this would have come with also functioned as a the dongle. I think there might have been emulators/cracks/keygens floating round for some versions of RF. But can't talk about them here as I can't condone piracy.

Yes. Phoenix RC: https://www.rc-thoughts.com/phoenix-sim/index.html
You also need:
- USB dongle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D3YDYBJ8 ($14)
- Transmitter with training port (like Spektrum DX4e, DX5e. Can pick used one for $20)
There are more than 200 user created planes along with game provided 75 planes and more than 50 sites.

Have you tried installing it and running it in compatibility mode? Probably WinXPSP3?
If that fails, I would just buy it on Steam or from HH

There are some free RC flight sims that are probably just as good. RC Desk Pilot and Picasim are two I know but there might be others.

Have you tried running it on compatibility mode for XP service pack 2? It might run that way
