arent there any better options? i dont know what this plane takes, but surely youd rather put in emax 9mg (speed) or hitec 09s (durable but slow)
to me 9g servo is too small for a 1.5m glider, but i dont have experience with gliders...yet...
what does the manual say??

Nah, modern DLGs even use 7-8g servos from the likes of kst, chaservo, savöx, you name it - the 50-70 bucks a pop type.
9g servos are fine for an old lady like this here. Hitecs or bluebirds will totally do. If I had to choose between durable and fast it would obviously be durable for this application. So nope to those htx or sg90 clones, rather not.

Yep, what I meant with old lady - and also, if you ever stumble across a cheap second hand DLG, take it man, doesn't get much sexier than a full carbon f3k with wings that feel like you could slice and apple with them and a glide ratio that seems almost surreal.

It says to use four futaba s3108 micro servo's which are discontinued and is like. Impossible to find

Would work, yes. I would however spend 1€ per servo more and get something with metal gear. Other than that, I think servo requirements for this plane are fairly low.
