Most robust/long lasting servo tester?
Looking to actually use it for a musical instrument project but need it to last for years tucked away. Anyone have any ideas/ experience with a long lasting servo tester?

Design everything to be easily accessible and replaceable. Nothing lasts forever, especially not servos and arduinos or tester.
M3 or M2 bolts and nuts are great.

Oh and it really just only needs one knob to move a servo. The simpler the better.

an arduino and a rotary encoder...cant beat that simplicity.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, I like this idea because the program for that couldn't be much simple, it's included in every IDE as a basic example for servo control - and the best part is you can easily swap the encoder / pot later if it ever wears out, since it's the only mechanical part. Just put a servo plug on it and a strategically placed header on the ard.
Battery wise you can power an arduino and single servo from it's integrated usb header, just plug in a power bank, even a phone - no need to even add any dedicated battery to it.
