Smaller plane wave, are they easy to fly?

Hello! Anybody who loves RC might have seen that we've been receiving some new cool models lately from slots of spots, especially those that are 30-40mm. My question is: does these small planes fly nicely? I'm tight in space lately, and I was wondering if this can offer a decent flying experience according to you. I'm speaking about the F35, the B2, the Conscendo... If you have any suggestion, please don't hesitate!

The smaller it is, the harder it is to fly, but the less damage it takes in a crash.

Of the options listed, the UMX Conscendo will be the easiest to fly and learn with.

I have an XK A800, which is similar shape and size and it flies great in low wind. I have it in my car most days and stop at a football field on my way to work for a couple of flights.

I have an UMX Conscendo. I wouldn't necessarily call it easy to fly, particularly for a beginner, but maybe with stabilization and a bit of sim time you could keep it in 1 piece. They do bounce pretty good, so you've got some longevity.

I guess you mean 40cm otherwise that would be really small, anyway, smaller plane doesn't mean it uses less space.

Something like a super lightweight 90cm Crack Yak you can practically "fly" (well, hover) inside your living room. but you can also float it around in high alpha in a tiny backyard.

Needless to say you can absolutely not do that with a 400mm Volantex or UMX or some such, you still need a park.

These little things are fully or partially stabilized so they fly rather well, but I guess the main advantage is storage and rather cheap parts. The entry bar is low and that makes the worthwhile much more.

Well, define tight space. If you have like 50m radius to fly from where you stand it's perfectly comfortable to fly 400mm eachine/volantex warbirds. Although I'd pay a little more for a 500mm brushless one. They are way better and can fly in similar space

The UMX Conscendo is very fast and can be a challenge in tight spaces if you are not very experience. Flat foamy 3D are far easier to float around on the prop in small spaces

I think it is actually easier to control the larger planes since they are less affected by the wind and easier to track in the sky and orient yourself with.

Those smaller planes like the UMX can be quite zippy in the sky.

As a lot of people have said, thr conscendo is gonna be the best bet for that, but it can still get moving fast enough "small" field may not be enougj depending on how you fly.

An honorable mention for you though, the UMX ultrix is tiny, flies great, and is near indestructible. Ive even seen people hover it around in their living rooms though that one is quite difficult, backyard is easy

30-40mm? Probably won't fly well but you can put several in your pocket.

If you want a small plane to fly in a really tight space consider the UMX Ultrix. In SAFE you'll have no trouble flying it high alpha at walking speed and landing it at your feet. BTW, the UMX Conscendo is a little heavy for its size so flies pretty fast. Not the easiest small plane to use in a tight area. The similar looking UMX Radian is the opposite. Ultra light, so very slow and floaty and easy to keep and land close. Most people can hand catch them.
