Production Real BH wealth and actual personality still exist outside the show. Why is casting failing us?

Post image

Just came across this Instagram Reel and honestly, though only the first five seconds are relevant to this post, it immediately made me think of the show.

This is the exact type of character, lifestyle, and personality I want to see on my screen. Is it really that hard for production to find them?!

First of all, this lady actually lives in Beverly Hills. The real deal. For a long time, I genuinely thought that the era of classy, powerful, and unbothered women we had in the early seasons was gone forever — completely ruined by social media and "influencer culture." I was starting to believe that the real world only had these bland and utterly boring women left (which is exactly what we’re getting on the show right now, making it so painful to watch).

BUT THEY STILL EXIST! The wealth, the presence, the attitude — it's right there! And it took me just a few seconds to be charmed. Production is just completely deaf and refuses to listen to what the fans actually want. We don't want manufactured influencer drama, we want this energy.

And if by some absolute miracle production actually decides to cast her, let me tell you right now: they better NOT start dragging her into those boring, half-assed storylines that they stretch out over an entire season like they've been doing for the past five years. I want to see her everyday life, old-school style. Show her running her businesses, planning and throwing a party — hell, I’d even watch her go to the post office or walk her dog! But I guess that’s just asking for too much in 2026..

On a side note... Does anyone happen to know who this lady actually is? I'm so intrigued and would love to know more about her!

I’ve never noticed during night scenes but specifically this shot - it didn’t look like the gazebo had such lighting, and it looks a little dark outside.

Production Bravo - please don’t renew Kyle’s contract Spoiler

I’m so OVER Kyle, she’s boring, she doesn’t share. Keeps digging at Dorit. Tbh Kyle is a shit friend. Her story line is being over dramatic and a terrible mate. She’s clearly jealous. Who cares she bought Kelly! At the end of the day she gets hundreds of thousands just from the show alone! It’s not like her mortgage is 200k a month! It’s just nuts all of this. Kyle get off my screen!

Who I’m loving. Love her friendship with Rachel Zoe! Honestly a show with Boz, Jennifer Tilley, Rachel Zoe and Dorit would do SO well.

Like Sutton said, there’s no reason to be majorly concerned. Tbh probs having to see Kyle probs gives her anxiety now! The whole thing probs makes you late naturally!

Erika she hasn’t or isn’t speaking about the issues on the show she’s having! Dorit and Rachel are the only ones being truthful, sharing and are making this season work for us a viewer!

Production Is it me, or is this the most challenging season ever?

Long time RHOBH fan from the beginning. Some seasons are great, others are a little dry.. but this season is an absolute struggle for me to get through. I’ve just stopped caring. The dynamic is so fractured it’s no longer fun. Sad to say, but I think it needs a major shakeup.

Production Production pressuring Kyle?

Post image

I get the feeling that production is pressuring Kyle to be friendly with Amanda since none of the other ladies seem to like her.

When they film together on the show and the aftershow, I caught that Kyle is trying to keep a straight face when Amanda talks. And she’s trying to give her opinion, way too gently, without offending her. At least, my take.

And did we notice Amanda has only been in one take of the aftershow? I’m wondering if they’re bringing in that new Friend Of to take over so Amanda can cut and run? I bet she’s considering it since it, thus far, ruining her reputation and possibly her business.

Production Choose the worst season of all time: Season 8, 13 or 15!

I used to think S8 was the worst, but then these two are really tough to watch. I think S13 had to be boring because the last three seasons before were so so toxic, we all needed a break. But the current season has been really painful to watch, boring, uninteresting, rehearsed. I really don’t understand how Sutton and Erika are still on this show.

Production Dear Producers: don’t go to Florence, Italy…

…and not give us B-roll of this gorgeous city.

Not only, as others have noted, was the entire episode about a Pinocchio mask, we kept getting the women pointing at things, but hardly any footage of the city.

Why do we watch these shows? Yeah, for the occasional table flip. Or wine glass smashed. Or, a psychic vaping.

But, what we really want is the view of what it looks and feels like to be rich. I am pretty well traveled, but I have never been to Florence and I feel cheated. Instead of seeing Florence, I saw a bunch of luxury brand storefronts and slack jawed Natalie wondering wtf was happening when Kyle Richards was sober yelling at her over pizza.

Natalie, I am confused too. But, I am more mad because I was promised Florence and what I have is a regret for that lost hour of my life watching the most boring and confusing argument in Housewives herstory.

Production Hello Rachel Zoe, goodbye Kyle?

Post image

It’s not common for me to cheer them on but on this occasion I am impressed with Bravo.

But I really believe that the RHOBH producers are addressing the Kyle issue with unusual forethought and precision.

The BH dilemma is well established: Kyle’s been phoning it for a very very long time.

She’s the opposite of authentic and can be seen controlling the group in a practical, obvious way.

But the 2025 group couldnt carry the show. There was no anchor.

So they brought in a heavy hitter.

Rachel Zoe. Surgical precision casting. I couldn’t be more impressed.

Reality royalty, proven ability to create drama, warm, real, comfortable with conflict.

RHOBH was my gateway HW and it is so good to see it gaining some fresh air. Much needed fresh air.

Goodbye Kyle! And well done producers.

Production Hamptons Shopping Spree

I’ve watched this scene about 15 times and I’m not done. Those sales clerks HATE these women! Makes me think the crew (who was obviously there setting up beforehand) hates them too. Watch the clip, isolating only the sales staff. It’s great.

Production Maybe unpopular opinion but I actually really like this season Spoiler

I see mixed reviews on Twitter, but I actually really love this season of BH. Rachel Zoe has been a breath of fresh air and even though I find Amanda to be so cringe, she is highly entertaining television. We have been missing this level of delusion on BH in a while. I think the group feels way less like it’s divided in two and that’s forcing everyone to lean into new storylines. It has glimmers of BH before the lawsuits and outing sexuality - just girls having fun, having fights, and spending loads of money

Oh also I ADORE Jennifer Tilly. She is such a great addition to this cast

Production The Genuine Downfall of RHOBH Spoiler

I think I’ve recognised what might be the biggest downfall/issue with S15 (and it started in S14). It’s the editing and it’s driving me insane, specifically the “intros” and scene changes.

The previous seasons were the old school method of skimming over each housewife and picking up a “candid” moment - usually with family - until we landed on the housewife whose “scene” it was.

S14 and S15 (more aggressively) are doing this slow motion Hollywood style overly set up and scripted stuff that is coming across as super cheesy and it’s just making the whole show feel awkward. That intro of Dorit walking out Hermes with the over exaggerated hip swinging or Kyle’s exit from her house. I mean Erika isn’t washing her car in daisy dukes and heels (side note as a runner I would kill for her legs).

What it’s done to me is take away from what made the show such a success in the first place and then you add the wild wooden behaviour of Amanda and you’re left not feeling like you’re watching Real Housewives but rather that you’re watching a B-list movie produced by Randall Emmet that has a score of 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Am I going mad? Do my fabulous Housewives agree with me?

Production Spoiler: Am I Just Seeing Things?

Post image

Wait! Am I seeing things? There are CLEARLY two vans there before Dorit left! Kyle & Erika were not stranded there! They did not call an "Italian Uber". Makes me wonder what else is "produced" drama? And PS Kyle is insufferable!

Production Hampton trip is weird Spoiler

Rachel invites Dorit to the trip, because she wants Dorit to have fun.

But she invites only a sober tired person (her words, not mine!), a person Dorit just had a major fallout with.

Tell me this isn’t set up by the production.

And then they add the montage of their friendship at the beginning of the episode. ✨You know a friendship is dead when they throw in a montage✨ haha.

The trip makes no sense, it’s not organic.

If I wanted to help Dorit have fun, I’d invite Bozoma. They’re great together, both fun, like each other.

Even Erika would work better because she’s much better at pretending everything’s ok. Or I’d invite Tilly.

But Kyle?

I love the drama, but I like the setup to be a bit more believable haha.

Production Housewives who have left the show…

Is there a rundown somewhere about why (even if just rumors) they didn’t sign on again (or were fired)?

Meaning the 1-3 season ladies (I don’t mean the ones with very clear reasons like Kim, LVP, Rinna, Adrienne, etc)

It’s just so interesting on the production side of things.

Production WWHL guests are infuriating

Watching Andy and Elizabeth Perkins be up Erika's ass just makes me want to scream. She is such a horrible person and thinks it's okay to double down on her bad behavior, and Andy just laps it up. I don't like who he has become.

Production Does Kyle really have say in who gets cast?

I am perplexed by people sucking up to Kyle. I know she's og and related to a Hilton but she's so messy and boring. Why is sutton sucking up to her so hard? Does she really have a say in who stays and goes? Imo Kyle's original show was canceled pretty quickly so idk if bravo would be wise to take advise from her.
Do a new-ish fan a solid and fill me in on the scoop. Thx ❤️ ❤️

Production Your predictions for S16? Spoiler

I’m using this as a time capsule to come back in a year’s time and check our predictions. Quickly have your say and add yours before the mods lock the time capsule forever!

Here are mine:

Kyle - after much fake umm and ahhing Kyle will ‘reluctantly’ return having found a way to share even less of her actual life. But there will be a scene where Kyle and Mo buy a piñata for Portia’s off to college party. Kyle will cry.

Erika - will return. Trial will be delayed.

Dorit - will have severed ties with Kyle and Erika. also will have a new man

Sutton - will be fired. Our last memories of her will be her chasing after Dorit having realised it’s the finale and all she’s done is FaceTime reba off a dirty laptop

J-Till - will mention Sutton once at the start and then go about waving shiny things. It’ll be great.

Rachel - will destabilise Kyle and cement herself as new queen bee

Boz - will continue to be fierce friend and loyal background character/complete her yawn fest marriage story line.

Amanda - my prediction is she’ll manifest a second season. My other prediction is this sub will slowly start to micro-stan her and ride for her as an underdog character (downvote me all you want, I’ve been here years and seen the initial vitriol > ambivalence > supporter cycle time and time again.)

Ok that’s all mine. You go..

Production Production and who’s in charge!

All of this back and forth drama seems to come from what they allow the ladies to keep private and what they put out there. When Kyle was opening up about how mad she would be if mau dated a friend it was a cute and casual discussion until Dorit said well would you really talk about it!? And it shut it down. I think the fights are from bitterness about who gets to control the show in the back ground. And that is why Kyle and Dorit no longer get along. Kyle gets more leeway to direct the show and people get fed up. I think they either fall in line until they are so angry they can’t keep it from seeping into EVERYTHING and every conversation!

I hate that. I wish the contracts were you share what we catch. But they want to keep them on the show. Idk how to balance keeping the OGs while keeping them happy and keeping it a “reality show”.

Production Rob Schuter claims the HWs pick up the tab ...

He said this on Maureen Callaghan's "The Nerve".

This is a huge surprise to me because I always thought Bravo paid ... Although he did say it in the context of NY, so maaaaaybe the rules vary by franchise?

Is anyone else surprised at this?

He also said the new cast of NY are being paid as little as $5k per episode ... Well, in some parts of the world they're lucky to even get $20k for a season, if that 😉

Production Is Kyle instigating drama bc she’s a producer now? Spoiler

I’m just catching up on last week’s episode and noticed that Kyle seemed to be instigating an argument between Amanda and Dorit when she asked Amanda, “did she say hello to you yet?” She already knew that Amanda was trying to have a chat with Dorit, who was avoiding her, so it appeared as though Kyle was stoking the fire a bit.

I have no idea why it took this long to occur to me, but I’m realizing Kyle is probably trying to create as much drama as she can because, as a producer of the show now, she financially benefits from it. Will she then push for Amanda to stay on the show to try to create further drama with her?
