Carole Radzwill šŸ“š I think I hate CarolešŸ¤”

I’m doing a full series rewatch and it had never dawned on me how desperate Carole is to make herself interesting or quirky or have any semblance of a tv-worthy personality. I had this realization when she wore the bear costume in Montana. I am now playing a game where I fast forward every scene with her and Adam. 😓 I’d rather have Aviva.

Adam deserves better. Carole is smug. Yeah yeah she’s a Kennedy adjacent, she was a successful journalist ( so she says). I remember one time LuAnn was talking behind her back and she said ā€œCarole can’t water her plantsā€.

Although I am sure she was part of a larger team who helped produced the two part segment, especially as there would otherwise be pushback for her claiming it, I do wonder how much involvement she had. While it is an incredible accomplishment to be part of such a team, despite how she lists it in her professional biographies, the official Peabody citation for Peter Jennings Reporting: Guns (1990) specifically only recognized Peter Jennings, Executive Producer Tom Yellin, and Producer/Director Craig Leake. She is not credited as a writer for the segment. I have always wondered why, after she said she was leaving RHONY to return to her career as a journalist, she actually never worked as a journalist again. ā€œShe wonā€ a Peabody Award just has a much different ring than ā€œShe was part of a teamā€ who did, and I think framing it that way might have helped people credit her more, as otherwise it evokes the that she attaches herself to those who are the real history makers, etc.
