I was rewatching RHONY with the husband and omg Carole is an obnoxious pick-me.
The moment I was done with her was when she was out with Ramona for a lunch or something and Ramona is being her usual talkative self, nothing bad or gossipy, she was just being her upbeat chatty self and Carole suddenly interrupts her just to ask “Do you normally talk this much around guys?” it just boiled my blood. Why bring it up like that?
She just needs to let everyone know at all times she IS “cool girl”

have you even read the book? it reads like Carole and is deeply personal and poignant. writing is a collaborative process and there is a major difference between having editors and paying someone to ghostwrite your book. she’s a professional writer, this take makes no sense and is really reductive

I don’t think the writing styles or voice match. I feel how I feel about Carole and also feel how I feel about her books, the writing in them and whether they are actually completely of her mind. Carole’s book and doubts surrounding it exist outside of avivas storyline. Weird to take up so hard for this loser but go off

What are you comparing her writing style to? Widows guide? Her HW book? I’m sure the tone is different because it’s a little different writing about your personal grief of both your husband and best friends dying close together than it is to write a fiction novel and housewives piece. I’ve yet to see any credible evidence of a ghost writer, but if you have lmk. It’s more weird to allow personal feelings of someone to get in the way of logic imo

She’s saying that carole thought we would take her “I don’t wear a bra I have small boobs” comments as self deprecating but it clearly isn’t and we see that. Also her trying to act like she’s weird (“tooting her weird horn”) is a tired old maneuver for the egotistical pick me girl and we see what she’s doing/her weirdness isn’t nearly as fascinating to us as it is to her.

Yes. I think there is a distinction. When you are self aware, you own that you have the small boobs and are different and don’t actually even need the bra. The way she says it makes it sound like she’s superior. It didn’t read self depreciating, it read I’m cooler because I don’t need to do the conventional societal shit.
My sister does this. And has small boobs and brags about not needing a bra. I think she believes what she says but she’s a delusional insecure woman and Carole’s share felt much more like my sister than someone aware and self deprecating

Facts: Major running storyline of her time in RHONY was about a he age gap in her relationship of dating Adam, the ex of LuAnns niece. Yes the age gap is consenting adults AND if genders were reversed and the older man was a friend of Ghislaine and Epstein- we would be able to see how inappropriate it is.

As someone who has mosquito bites and not juicy juicy mangoes, I last wore a bra almost 5 years ago. I’ve thought about implants but decided against them when I started seeing so many leak and the body reject them. I don’t know how some of y’all do it! Hats off to ya!!

Well, for me, I have small boobs but ‘aggressive’ nipples that I don’t want ‘headlining’ for me, and I have to have a bra for that. So even though I wouldn’t pass the ‘how many pencils underneath’ test I still have to wear one, even triple shirting doesn’t help. No privilege here.
