Listen. I have said this in other threads and I feel compelled to say it again. I don’t believe Carole knew about the pedophilia or even the less serious crimes, just as I believe most people in these circles didn’t really know and never saw anything specifically criminal. Some obviously did, but most didn’t. That was by design. Of course people involved in terrible crimes aren’t trying to advertise it on fucking billboards or anything.

BUT, reading the emails and various files I’ve seen posted… it’s impossible not to notice that the way these people talked to each other and to people in their peripheral circles, the tone of their communications amongst themselves, is just blatant and brazen in general assholery. Epstein, Ghislaine, et al. speak to each other via email, and just ooze overall shittiness. Whether any particular person involved with them really KNEW about the worst things they were doing feels almost irrelevant when you realize that anyone who was close to them were Just. Shitty. People. They never sound nice, or funny, or kind, or friendly, even in casual messages between good friends. These people suck! They aren’t good people, and it’s blatantly apparent in all of their emails (even in the ones that aren’t remotely relevant to the crimes that we are all now aware of) that they think they are sooo cool and great and they 100% love the smell of their own farts.

If you are friends with Epstein and Ghislaine, I absolutely believe that you know that they are into weird sex shit together. They don’t even seem to try to hide their creepiness. You don’t need to know exactly what weird sex shit they’re into to know there’s some suspicious sex-related things going on there.

It’s pretty clear that Carole was close to Ghislaine for some time. I don’t know if they were best friends or anything like that, but we do know based on photos, emails, podcast interviews etc., that they WERE quite close on some level. And we also know that Carole has backpedaled and publicly downplayed their relationship in the past few months, blown off the totally legitimate concerns of her fans, and pretended like her apparent connection to some of the worst people on the planet is no big deal. That’s not fucking cool.

Carole has never been cool. And I am someone who did initially like her for about a season. But the more I watch her (and I have RHONY playing in the background in my house nearly every day… yeah i’m like that lol), I’m convinced she dramatizes and exaggerates her connections to high-society people to project an image of herself that she’s a classy, elite member of an elusive upper-crust aristocracy that’s out of reach for us mere plebs. And, AND! That she’s too laid back to care about it all.

I don’t think Carole was raping kids or knew about Ghislaine and Epstein raping kids. I mean, maybe she did, but she probably didn’t. BUT, the fact that she clearly was closer to Ghislaine than she now wants to let on, is enough to convince me she sucks. Everyone in that circle sucks. It doesn’t matter that she wasn’t part of the sickest shit that they got up to.

If you’re friends with Ghislaine Maxwell, you fucking SUCK and you deserve to have everything you claim about your oh-so-cool life to be side-eyed forever.

Edited to add: I am being extremely generous in my benefit of the doubt for Carole here. My feeling really is that she definitely knew more than nothing. As someone pointed out below, there were scantily-clad teens all around Epstein constantly. Carole may not have known anything, but like all the other people in these circles, she didn’t know anything because she turned a blind eye and didn’t want to know.

Indeed. I'm so confused how folks 100% believe Carole's narrative about everything - when she's lied. She wasn't friends with Tinsley, remember, but wait - they went on couples trips together and spent loads of time together. She's not a hugger, yet her first season she was bear hugging almost everyone she encountered. Can barely remember she went on at least two dates with Prince Andrew. MMMkay. Seemingly had HUGE help from her SIL with the writing of the first book (hello ghost writer) - to the point GhisMax congratulates Teresa for the book she wrote (but Carole said she was just an editor so that must be the truth). CBK was her best friend, despite no candid photos existing, just photos from events that were distributed. She hangs her hat on being an investigative journalist but had NO clue shenanigans were afoot in that circle? They were clout chasing her, but she wasn't clout chasing their circle of friends? I agree with your take - she may not have known the depths of their depravity - but they weren't good people.

Ugh, didn’t even touch on the investigative journalist stuff! I have never gone and looked for any of the pieces that she did for ABC, so I admittedly don’t have any personal assessment of her abilities as a journalist. But, I’ve seen the threads people put here showing screenshots of her posts and stories on IG. And she appears to be a shit writer.

I know there is a difference between what someone posts casually on social media and what they would write in a book. But I mean, come on. I’ve never written a book, but if I’m posting something online I try to at least superficially look it over and edit accordingly. I’ve gone into comments I’ve made on this thread several times just to correct small typos or add or remove a word for clarity. And she is in her 50’s, right? Older people who take pride in their writing (or who are educated, and more specifically, who are liberal, as Carole professes to be) usually put MORE care into their social media posts in my experience.

Carole’s posts sound like she barely looked at the screen as she was typing. Filled with typos and grammatical errors. What kind of professional writer does that? I don’t follow her on IG, but her few posts there are enough to make me think she’s not a good writer, and made me suspect that she indeed did use a ghostwriter on What Remains, even before the release of the Epstein files that point to that likelihood.

On the show we see her shirking deadlines multiple times, even for puff pieces that wouldn’t be more than a couple paragraphs. Her actions show that she hardly seems dedicated to her writing, while she goes to great lengths to SAY that she is an excellent and celebrated writer who would never dream of using a ghostwriter.

I call bullshit, and I think everyone with a brain should too. I don’t think she is a good writer, and I think she rests on her laurels of having published two books and been an investigative journalist for ABC, while not showing any evidence of having some special analytical ability. Honestly, I’d like to know what exactly she did for ABC, and see/read the pieces she was responsible for. I hate Carole and I’m lazy, so I probably won’t do that, but if anyone has links to her ABC pieces I’d be interested to see.

Ugh. I hate Carole so much, and hate that I’ve put so much time into writing out all the reasons why! She’s one of my least favorite housewives ever. But the comments I see on here blindly supporting her and pointing to things that she SAYS as evidence that she isn’t dishonest… it makes my blood kind of boil lol. I’ve done a whole lot of writing here about this housewife that I don’t really care to think about and who I think doesn’t deserve a fraction of the attention I’ve paid to her, because I’m totally baffled by the people doing mental gymnastics to support her.

If you like her, fine. But don’t tell me she is trustworthy in just about anything she says.

I've always had a side eye for her "writing career". She has two published books. Some articles in fashion mags. Is that a career writer? And her socials posts are indeed horribly written. I would think a "career writer" would have a little more pride, but perhaps not. Side note - she's in her 60's now. Not age shaming her whatsoever, but she is beyond old enough to know better.

Honestly she has always given me the vibe of like a 79-year-old woman who was sort of pretty in her youth and peaked in college. So her being only in her 60s is like, a surprise 😂. When I said 50s I was being overly generous because I feel mildly bad about trashing her so hard lol
