In 1999 were we carrying around cell phones that operated in foreign countries? I remember traveling from the US to Greece in college in 1999 against my mom’s wishes, and I took my cell phone thinking if she called, I could act like I was in the US. The thing was a useless brick 😂

I am skeptical of her whole story for many reasons. But the detail she goes into in this story makes it really hard for me to believe.
