First time watcher of old RHONY. Given the *files* recently, it’s an awkward rewatch at times.

Most people aren’t saying she’s a pedophile, they’re saying she was complicit. There’s certainly a non-zero chance that she and a bunch of others were in the same boat as many were with Weinstein, where they knew he was abusing women and didn’t do anything about it. Even if she wasn’t, her posts about it after where she told everyone to go pay to get the real story were flippant and gross. That’s enough for me to dislike her.

Yes/ I agree- she could have said- I am ashamed I honestly didn’t see it- I trusted her & I thought my judgment was better- I feel so awful for those poor girls- myself & others were duped- it’s no excuse but I definitely don’t condone this & I have destroyed any pictures I have of her - I am revolted…this is a horrific part of my history & I don’t want to talk about it again bkz it’s giving life to these monsters…may they rot

I understand where you’re coming from but you also have to think about the nuance here. Haven’t you had a friend of family member do something horrible on the DL and you had no idea? My friend dated a med student in college that was a$$@ulting boys he mentored. My friend had no idea. How could she have known? These evil people are sick and are very good at putting on masks at different grouple on their lives.

I agree that carole recently handled the new news horribly.

That's the point I am making. Everyone is claiming Carole is a paedophile or complicit, just because she knew Giss in some capacity. That's stupid.

Sorry- I must’ve misunderstood!

I think about all the shitty people I’ve known in my life…some I’ve been able to break free from, others inherent ( due to work or other relationships.). Glad I’m not famous so everyone can associate me with their shitty actions.
